Burner Trailer/Vehicle Frame - Free To Good Home

Postby dkoronakos » Tue Oct 26, 2004 8:55 pm

I am reengineering my Burning Man vehicle, but the basic frame
is available free to a Burner who can make good use of it.

You can see the original vehicle here:

Look at the second picture down - this is CLOSE to what I
am giving away. I have removed the motor, the batteries,
the solar cells, the drive controller, and all the associated
electronics - I am keeping all that to build a new vehicle
with. I have removed the front box (where the batteries
were). The other boxes are still attached.

What is left is the basic metal frame - which is welded onto
a standard trailer axle that has trailer brakes. There is a
standard trailer hitch on the front. You could put a new
motor on the front and have basically the same vehicle
I had - or you could TOW it behind a little utility tractor
as a "party trailer".

The trailer axle/wheels/trailer brakes alone are worth a
fair amount of money (at least $700) and include 2
trailer brake controllers.

The above is free to a good home - you just need to take
it away in its entirety. You can't just have the trailer brakes,
for example - you need to take the whole thing and do with
it as you please.

The vehicle is currently in San Luis Obispo. If you want
the vehicle and are in SLO, contact me before October
31st when I return to the Berkeley area. If you live in
the bay area, contact me before October 31st and I
will drop off the vehicle on my way home.

Is it still available? I'm not finding any pics on that link.

I got the old Not Found error page.

Nope - it's gone.

Look for it on the Playa in it's new guise next year, however...
