4 color LED Tape connectors HELP?!

Postby uncle sticky » Mon Aug 19, 2013 3:21 pm

I've got this awesome LED color changing tape, and the 4 wire connectors that, at least in theory, allow you to cut and splice the tape at the designated cut points to curve the tape. Well, it's been extremely frustrating, as the connectors don't seem to work. Am I doing it wrong? Black goes to the 12 v, with the blue on the bottom, right? Main problem seems to be making the connection between the double ended connector and the tape itself.
The handbasket to hell is leaving. Hop in world!

Make sure that you're stripping the tape completely, the contacts are on the underside, which could be covered by adhesive tape.

Basically, you want to be holding bare ribbon.
