That's way too cool! If it's got a motor and wheels, I like it! I'm a motor head too... this is my old Chevy. It looks tame but it's a dual-quad, aluminum-headed, hot-cammed, four-speed hot rod.

Travelling and Geocaching - in the past 12 months we've Geocached in a total of 19 countries including the southern most town in the world and the northern most town in the world. One week from today we take off again to add a couple more before TTITD.

1st I love my cats.

Rockhounding, off-roading (would love to get a quad), stargazing (astronomy), bowling, attending any minor league baseball game (not really a hobby though), snooping around ghost towns and old mining areas, and more recently, panning for gold. The normally dry wash in Six Mile Canyon near my house was a torrent a few weeks ago and I drove up into it and found a spot and dug a 5 gallon bucket worth of dirt, sand gravel etc and take home to pan at my leisure. So far I found a pinhead size nugget and a few flakes. Not worth much with the price of gold going down, but it's fun. I'd have to find alot more......and the right buyer.
Last year, at the upper portion of Gold Canyon near Silver City I found a rock a little smaller than a football and weighs about 13lbs that is highly attracted to a magnet. It has about a one inch piece of metal protruding from it. It looks natural. I'd like to find a place to take it to see if it may be a meteorite or may be an iron encrusted nugget or just a rock. I'm no expert.
My cats are cuter than your grandkids!

Outside of Burning Man, my hobby is planning for Burning Man.

Edit: And hockey, snowboarding, gaming, camping, music-ing, and inging.

I'm also a boat nut and general tinkerer. Tatonka, toss up a pic of your bikes! I always liked them I just don't ride them.
If I did, I'd have an old Harley or maybe Triumph, stripped down, just a bit of chopper rake to it, painted wire wheels with whitewalls, probably flat black with some Roth-style pinstriping, and a set of low, flat handlebars - kind of a "rat rod" bike :)

Do you know what it means when there are no oil spots under your Triumph (or BSA) ? Means you are out of oil. I drive a 1200 Sportster.

I like to ride my bike in remote places and camp off of it.

This is on a 4 day ride around Death Valley, I got a little stuck in the sand on an over loaded KLR.

If I'm not camping on the other bike, I'm in the mountains on this bike.

Wow, cool stuff, makes me wanna ride one of those organ donor-cycles :)
It seems the older I get the less likely-to-break-myself stuff I feel like doing. Otherwise I'd probably have that "rat bike" I have all set up in my head. The closest I come to it is driving a Mazda Miata. I wanted an old Triumph or maybe MG, but I already have a cantankerous vintage car, I needed my driver to start every morning and just plain work.

Always bothers me that the PO painted the chrome bumpers... Will probably get a rebuild once the TR7 is completely finished. Its really close just has some fuel delivery issues at this point.

Nice old Chevy pickups in the background.

Cigar box sized stuff. Or smaller. I still have gawnoshowmanny beads from when I did stringing and jewelry. I used to fuse glass. I don't for complicated reasons, but I have a kiln. Maybe in my next place...

Jewelry making, painting, pen & ink, photography, sculpting, right now I'm teaching myself video-editing.

Photography is what I do most, jewelry is what I love to do, it's just very time-consuming. There's just something fulfilling about having a vaguely legitimate reason to have a blowtorch in your living-room...

That's been a tough one to answer since long before I started participating in Burning Man. And the lines have only blurred even more since then. I think of myself as a multimedia artist and designer, which is a fancy way of saying I like to design and make a wide range of things utilizing a wide range of media and materials. Music, photography, video, visual effects, painting, woodwork, metalwork, acrylic (and other materials), industrial design and fabrication (lately I've really been working to use industrial CNC machines for creative purposes), textiles/clothing/fahion, lighting and projection, and so on. I also really enjoy mucking around with the creative process and logistics. Stuff ranging from event production and planning, designing and testing complex systems is a lot of fun too, but in a different kind of way. I also enjoy selected bits of history, science, and astronomy quite a lot...
