Postby clockworkwasp » Mon May 27, 2013 12:12 pm

We're not going to be able to make it out this year so I'm looking to sell the tickets for $1,200 total; the tickets are will call and so can only be sold as a pair.

Email me to discuss arranging payment, I will transfer the name on the tickets once the money has cleared.

HOLY MACKERAL!

well, that is indeed a Good Price. Thank You Mr. Far off Londoner, that is very Generous of You.

i hope you sell your tickets soon to someone who really wants to go, i'm sure you will.

if i had the scoots, i woulda bought the holiday ones too, i did not realize they were that "precious" however....i'm slightly stunned, to be honest.

again, my apologies if i seemed to be baiting you, it was an honest question, i never bothered to look.

and yes, i actually do say Holy Mackeral all the time, i'm into retro cliches.

I need 2 tickets but god damn, I'm not sure $1200 for 'em is really copacetic.

The thing is, holiday tickets were worth something extra when they were the only ones in existence. But at this point, no ticket is any better than any other, there's no premier, front row, backstage pass extra worth to a "holiday ticket".
I'd go $900 if you wanna move 'em, though.

I've had an offer at the price I've asked for but I'll let you know if that falls through.

Not a problem, I bought holiday tickets because for me the extra cost is worth the extra time for planning because I have to fly in. It just didn't work out this year.

Stand firm on your price there mate...I would argue that they are priceless now. I bought Holiday tix too, to avoid the possible heartache of missing out in the general sale. Don't sell your proper planning short.

I would agree, planning is def worth the cost, if your current offer falls through I'll offer you face value..only fair in my opinion.

Turtleburp is correct, but sadly looks like my otherhalf is requiring me to bow out for now, as I was unaware she only wanted to look at will call as a last ditch resort, wanted to post that so that my post above didnt cause any stalling for clockworkwasp in case others came along reading this post. She's just a bit of an .. uh well.. "uber planner" yea.. (she might just read this forum and I use this handle all the time so im leaving it at that :D )

Best of luck to clockworkwasp though, don't settle for less the security in knowing that it's sorted out is def worth it.

cheers,
Brandon

just a quick note, i have done will call at least 4-5 times and it has NEVER been a problem or a long wait so if anyone out there thinks that will call sucks, you know what sucks worse? leaving your ticket in an envelope in O'Hare...

seriously.

I'm glad that you can only get Will Call tickets internationally, I don't even know what I'd do if I had shipped tickets and I left them in London!

My crew needs six tickets and a few of them are willing to pay for a holiday presale if that ever is a possibility. I know you are trying to find homes for face value and i understand that. As a question, if one was offered four holiday presale then how does the name exchange go? How is there confirmation that the names were changed as well as they cannot be changed again by the original card holder. I was just wondering because someone may be willing to part with some pre sales but i was leary on how the exchange goes. Thanks for any information you can share

That's a good question, as I've never sold tickets before I can't speak from personal experience however the name change page tells me the following:

"An email will be sent to you within two (2) business days of receiving your authorization approving your update. Once approved, the name of the person you submitted will replace your name on the order and you will not have the ability to request further name changes. Please note: orders that have opted to have physical tickets delivered are not eligible for name changes after tickets are processed for shipping."

It's also possible to ask for Will Call tickets to be changed to shipped tickets, although the last date for that is the 31st of July and I don't know how it would work with the holiday ones.
