I often collect the plastic jars that they use to sell things like nuts or trail mix at Costco and give them out to my vagina-enabled friends on playa. Ladies seem to appreciate them. Wide mouth, stable, sealable.

ok. Who's ready to work out a JOTS-to-Tardis decoration package to deploy on playa? While the JOTS are unfortunately not bigger on the inside, they can transport you in time and space. I went into one near my camp one year and came out two days later by the Man.

Also a bad idea for the moop factor - we would have blowing pee - soaked straw all over!

The question is how to affix these piece without causing damage to the potty and without them falling off to become moop. Also, who's doing the potty sound project. It should play the theme.

my simple solution is to use an empty kitty litter jug with screw cap, INSIDE of a 5 gallon kitty litter bucket, and a funnel. The jug sits inside of the bucket, and the funnel sits on the plastic trash bag that also holds the used toilet paper...... my kind husband takes the jug to the portos in the morning before I wake up! So, with the screw cap, any smells are kept inside, any slips or misses are caught in the bucket, and the whole contraption is about the same height as my toilet at home... I like the very large orange funnel from one of the big box stores.....

Recently, I was watching a historical foody show on the BBC. During Beau Brummel's time, Regency Period, a bucket was placed behind a curtain to used during meals for urination. Conversation was continued on the fly, as it where. Cheers!

I'm going to use empty Apple Juice jugs and leave em around camp. Keep things interesting!

I'll just have to remember NOT to drink any Apple Juice.

Is there a pee funnel thread? After this year's "hurry up and get to the jots," in the morning, I want a pee jug and funnel. Or is there size jug I can use that negates the need for a funnel? I am pee jug challenged, in that I have never tried it, and have been afraid of making a big ole mess. I get that the soft funnels aren't optimal. I was looking at the shewee and the pstyle. The pstyle looks really weird and possibly messy.

There are pee funnel threads (Google pee funnel eplaya) but in short, I recommend:

* a cheap $3 funnel with oval mouth from the automotive section (it's meant to be held in a tilted position, which is key)
* a 100-oz. detergent bottle

That setup is good for a tent.

For mobile use, a smaller, compact funnel is way better. Of the commercial brands, the Freshette is my favorite, but it's wayyy overpriced. Maybe a sawed-off automotive would be better. Hmm. Need to buy a saw.

And ya gotta practice at home. :)

Pstyle. It's the best. Ask all the women I've converted.

In my tent I use a Freshette and gallon water jug. I usually paint it or cover it in stickers for the walk of shame. I learned the erm, hard way to use a gallon jug, with a handle. So an .89 water gallon jug is perfect. Freshette tube fits right in it, it's so easy and clean. Even when I'm drrrrrunk.

Shewees and PEZ = suck. I've used nothing but Pstyles for years, now. I keep one on me, the Freshette in the pee jug, and a spare Pstyle in case I lose one.

Then there's the plastic folgers can, for when you can no longer aim.

Perfect also for emptying and cleaning your Diva Cup in your tent, as doing so in the jots just seemed way too yucky to me.

I looked into those but the few that came with a lid of some sort had user reviews commenting on leaking being a problem. Plus, they don't hold as much. And take up a lot more packing space than a Pstyle and a jug you can toss.

I don't drink Folgers or know anyone who does (and if they do would they admit it?). I think I will order a pstyle and see if it works for me. I like the idea of jug with a mouth wide enough to empty a diva. I'll just have to keep an eye out for one. Plenty of time till the next burn. :(

Homer orange bucket: $2.75
Cheap plastic toilet seat: $6.00
Funnel set: $3
1 gallon milk jug w/screw top: Free with a gallon of milk
Wood Screws (6-10 YMMV): $pennies
(optional) Various scrap wood: $found, stolen or permanent borrow
(optional)Garbage bag
(optional) Kitty litter, non-clumping

1. Use the second largest funnel, the other two are really handy for other things. Screw it to the toilet seat, at front, use some of that hard plastic from the AA battery packaging as washer so you don't drive the screw through the cheap funnel plastic.
2. Line bucket with bag
3. Pour in a small amount of litter ~1"
4. Place EMPTY gallon jug in bucket
5. Place seat on bucket while aligning funnel into jug (optional screwing-seat-to-bucket steps omitted, because I found it unnecessary and not worth the hassle, but it involves the wood scraps, screws and some choice words.)
6. Your appliance is now ready for use (Men can use this with a little kneeling)
7. Carry jug with cap fastened tightly, to the potty in the morning

Two people will fill up a gallon in one night, so if you are particularly hydrated, have a spare jug on hand.

Heck no, if you're going through all that trouble just get the bucket, trash bags, cat litter and one of these

I left a few of these next to the pee funnel camp dispenser one year. Actually had about 30 (asst small & large) at home and they looked
to be good for something. None were ever used so I threw them out. Too hard to carry in suitcase on airplanes.
