Anyone else registered for the burner profile thing. I did already and very excited and grateful I got the same ID as I do on Eplaya. Tinkerbell. (popular name out there). I am a little ocd about a site having different id's and if I didn't get the same id as what i had on here I would have been tempted to change my id on here for the fluency. :)

Drink anyone???

I gave it some thought and would love to be there, but I have a default world commitment that weekend. And the "no in and out" thing killed it for me. I have no need to camp there as my place is just a few miles away. I hope everyone has fun! I helped dismantle Seraphim at LA Decom and would have liked to help, but it is not to be this year. Hope it's not the last time it happens!

How about some cotton picking honest to garsh Injun Whisky?

From a 1880(ish) recipe displayed in the Fort Benton, Montana Territory museum:

Indian Whiskey:
To muddy Missouri water, add 1 quart alcohol, 1 pound rank black chewing tobacco, 1 handful red peppers, 1 bottle Jamaica ginger and 1 quart black molasses.
Mix well and boil until strength is drawn from tobacco and peppers.

Sauce: http://www.theopenrange.net/forum/index ... pic=4969.0

Yee ha!
More whiskey and fresh horses for my men!

A cold breeze blows dust drifts across the desert floor….

“If the Universe came to an end every time there was some uncertainty about what had happened in it, it would never have got beyond the first picoseconds. And many of course don't. It's like a human body, you see. A few cuts and bruises here and there don't hurt it. Not even major surgery if it's done properly. Paradoxes are just the scar tissue. Time and space heal themselves up around them and people simply remember a version of events which makes as much sense as they require it to make.”

…the usually thick dusty veil in the air starts to disappear revealing a Black SUV parked on the deep Sabkha horizon~

Because the first line was particularly interesting--doesn't matter to me where it came from.

~from the shadows behind the bar~
Purees papaya, watermelon, lime juice, and 1/2 jalapeno in a blender until smooth. Strains then, pours over ice and garnishes with a slice of lime and jalapeno. Sets it in front of Big blue doggie~

~ Jukebox Music~“The lyrics were, well, straightforward. They provided a basic repetitive bit of funk rhythm and a simple sense of menace and cheerful callousness which had caught the mood of last summer.”

Particularly appealing….. “It was the chance carelessness of it~ … because words used carelessly, as if they did not matter in any serious way, often allowed otherwise well-guarded truths to seep through.”

Science fiction making sense…. is that kind of like the accuracy of satire? ~sigh~

One of my favorite Oingo Boingo tracks, love it! Don't fret, BBD, the bar's still active, just in the newer volume 4 thread. Plenty of the old regulars make appearances in there too… littleflower, Burner Von Braun, LeChatNoir and others. The newer names you might not know in there are pretty good people too, probably more than a few who'd appreciate fine whiskey and a smoke…

And clocks, late reply on your comment, the universe is filled with uncertainty. Billions upon billions of variables that go into the movements and orbits of objects in space, none of which are certain. Things like volcanoes whose eruptions can change weather patterns significantly, or earthquakes big enough to affect the rotational speed of a planet, then changes to orbits that would affect orbits of (or collisions with) passing objects. Uncertainty is a human term, but the concept of variables and uncertainty have existed for many billions of years before us, and will probably continue for billions of years after. I say probably, of course, because it's an uncertainty. :D
