Club Neu Invites Overseas Campers

Postby zorro sings » Wed Feb 20, 2013 4:44 pm

Our camp,Club Neu(formerly Club Verboten),has had the good fortune over the last 13 years to host an amazing assortment of overseas Burners. Most of them first time visitors to BRC and most of them great contributers to our camp.We are keenly aware that for most of our o/s friends this will be your first and probably, due to time distance and cash, last visit to BRC.We are set up so obligations are few and you can take in as much as you can while you can.

Here is a bit about us.

-First and foremost we are a revolutionary and socialist camp with our only mission being service to The People of Black Rock City. This is heroically achieved under the leadership and direction of experienced cadres fully trained in Suarezian Thought.

-We are a small camp with anywhere from 12-16 campers each year.We are recruiting early this year to see if it is possible to replace our glorious UK Contingent, whose works and contributions will be talked about for years to come, and who have unfortunately taken a leave of absence en masse.

-We are a dance club/music camp that hosts themed parties(following our retro-avant garde formula)each night. Our parties are usually well attended and believe our reputation is solid for providing a unique Project sound.

-Our location will,Inshallah, be around the same as last year.4:30 and Esplanade. This was a great spot and a privelege to be placed there.

Please PM for more information if you're interested.

We also welcome potential 2013 BRC citizens from the US and even Texas. If interested please let us know here or email clubverboten at aol dot com.We look forward to seeing you all soon. Thanks.

Does Seattle count as "overseas?"

It's disappointing about losing the U.K. camp mates'.. Really wanted to do a short film with them this year. Also wanted to add that I am gearing up to bring my lighting & visual equipment to spice things up quite a bit.

Comrade CWicK,We look forward to your lighting service.CWicK survived,in his first year, one of the toughest BRC entry experiences we have ever seen and came out smiling. The iron will to have a good time was a fine example for everyone.

Lowz, better known at Club Neu as Jon Clod, came to us from France after responding to the similar 2010 recruitment post.In a meteoric rise up the Party and State glass ceiling comrade JC is now Brother No.3.What better title could we have given this slave for The People ?Is his burning desire to serve Through Suarez Thought not transparent in his deeds, and more importantly his words? As far as Canada goes we are, owing to its ambiant charms, willing to lift our one year enforced Canadian camper hiatus this year.

Finally to avoid confusion or to disguise it our camp name is pronounced "Club New".

Awe. That's really sad to hear about the UK camp mates! They will definitely be missed! :(

We're devising a plan for a new DJ booth this year and will hopefully try to recruit some people locally to help us construct/decorate it. We have a few ideas in mind and will email you some details about it soon.

Scartch the Aussie as she is joining a massage camp. However we will most likely have three new UKers this year. That leaves 2-3 spots still open if there are any others with a burning desire to Serve The People.

Yes Comrades returning Citizen Undersky has shared some details with the Inter-Cooperation Committee concerning her so called"special treat".Decorum Edict No. 11 prohibits any details here but Regime Insiders suggest that this is truly a Radical and Revolutionary gift to the Toilers of BRC.With free drinks and Cecile behind the bar we now have taken service at our bar to Workers Paradise levels. An historic achievement indeed and one we celebrate with all fair minded and fraternal groups across the playa.

When we notified our campers of our location at 4;30 and Esplanade we got this reply from one of our new UK members.

my gorgeous sister married an american she met at BM in 2008 and they have just had their first baby together. She informs me it was at this exact location she first met her husband :-) so even tho she cant be there this year as she has tiny baby, I will be spending my first time at this special place.

Thanks. It means something to us as we spent our first few years as a camp very far away from the action wondering what it took to be where we are now.

We also have had a late withdrawal by our 4 person Texas crew leaving some openings for those who may be interested. You do not need to be from O/S.

And this comrades is our European Congress Head of Recruiting speaking, perhaps for the last time as an Authorized State Figure, strictly off the record.

Despite the loss of the Texas Crew we,using the spear point of The Suarezian Principles for maximum effort and effect, had a banner year of recruiting,We are now officially full. Our camp would like to thank this board and Spark for an all time record (for us) 19 campers. For basically a first time thing Spark was a certainly helpful for Club Neu.You never know until they hit the playa but seem like positive additions were found there. One of which when reading Brother No.5 John Clods unwarranted diatribe above promptly claimed"Hobo"as his playa name.

Club Neu By Fraternal Foreign State

2 x Australia

1 x Germany(Friday evening only at 7 and that's all we can reveal)

Hi,

We're 3 Aussies + 1 New Yorker who are already self sufficient - but are looking to join onto a larger "group" for the spirit of meeting new people and having new adventures. We are fun - hard workers - and met ourselves at a new years event 6 months ago. This will be our "reunion" and hopefully we can have a similar experience where we meet more people and broaden our circle.

We're between the ages of 25 - 28.

Let us know if there is more info available on this camp group.

We apologize for not seeing the above post for so long.We figured the thread had sunk to page 3.But for everyone out there we are more than full this year. There is always next year and we hope to have more from around the world. We are saddened that the above post did not apply earlier as with a screen name of Daftbunk he would be,at the home of the infamous Daft Punk Night, automatically qualified.

Speaking of misunderstandings we want to make sure everyone knows that on Thursday we will be presenting Tony Cliftons Swinging 70's Cocktail Hour. This will not be the"real"Tony Clifton doing the pouring and entertaining. It is one of our campers that will look and act like him.

Let's make it more clear.At Club Neu,between 8-9 on Thursday,at 4:30 and Esplanade,with a big star tent,Tony Clifton,as made famous in the feature film"Man On The Moon",that same Tony Clifton,will not be there.There will be Bad 70's music,Bad Company(Tony) and great cocktails.
