I want to make a poll but I bet it would get deleted/not taken seriously

it would be titled

"How many D's would you S for a ticket to the burn this year?"

and the options would be

0 (Prude)
1-3 (Teste'ng the Waters)
3-5 (Insatiable)
5-7 (Fortress of Whoritude)
7-9 (Double Penetration)
10+ (Shopvac)

The names/choices are a working title

 thinking along that same train of thought Simon...some of the questions are just "FUCK, really?" What happened to people reading a little first and not worrying every little thing to death? This will only be my 4th year but geez you'd hope people could really on a little of their own common sense.

Enjoy your show MDF

Hi MDF, it is one of my absolute favorites, MDF. You will also enjoy the movie "Quartet" directed by Dustin Hoffman and starring Maggie Smith.

Morning kiddies. Gotta run, getting late for the yellow balls that need swatting this beautiful sunny, warm morning!!

Morning everyone! Mdf, enjoy the show. Jonsi, ahola, thinking we need to go to Hawaii to see Sadie :) As for the poll, hmmmm will have to think about it. As this is my 2nd burn, the questions are a virgin's way of being exciting and being proactive, not always smart but trying to fit in with the gang. Once you drink the koolaid, it is all u think about. I think it is them trying to live BM before they go, which we all know is impossible.

Where is the Hof located Yggy? Would be fun to try and go but may be too far for me. Do u have a certain month you are shooting for? Much like Reno but in the woods, right? *wink wink*

Rigoletto! Yes. It's at an IMAX capable theater where I live, and oh oh oh I need some LARGE BEAUTIFUL NOISE. I make an effort for opera. I take caffeine and wait for those moments of transportation with a lot of "hang in there, wait for it. It's good for you" semi boredom, I'll admit. I try, and it pays off. The live in HD program is something really great. In Cupertino, there are a lot of Russian women that go. I loved once there was an entitled type lady talking on her phone, standing, saying she was looking for "a better seat." A large voice from behind me, "YOU SIT NOW!" Some folks dress up. I'll see what I can muster. For IMAX, I might even iron something.
See you there, MDF.

and the questions. I agree Simon, it doesn't look good so far. Sort of "How do I get to the rave venue... and um, how does one camp?" *making heart gesture with hands*

MagicalMarty, your description of Quartet reminds me of Fitzcarraldo and and its operatic theme.
I remember Verdi, in particular, among others.

The transport of the 320 ton ship was not special effects, by the way.

Yeah, there does seem to be a bumper crop of lazy and…seriously, can't find a flight/hotel/car rental on the internet? Deep breaths… The lack of self reliance is mind-boggling, but I think that'll be okay. They'll either learn and be better people for it, or they'll realize Burning Man's more work than they wanted to do and their ticket will wind up in the hands of someone better suited.

Had a great trip to the farmer's market today. The weather's great, and we found lots of awesome stuff. Now it's time to relax and enjoy a drink or two...

Rigoletto fantastic, took less concentration on my part than I was expecting, and it was beautifully sung: Las Vegas in the 60's with a stripper pole even! Sushi buffet for lunch. Waiting on the doorstep when I got home: a baby subwoofer dropped off by fedex. It would be nice to be in love also, or have a bunch of you as next door neighbors, but all in all, not a bad day.

Magically no hangovers. The playa provides... training.

So, is it ethical to plonk someone one his very first post if he identifies himself as an "Ayn Rand capitalist"?
Probably.
