Still Newbie parent burners

Post by JoelandTara » Thu Feb 14, 2013 11:35 am

Hello Everyone,

We went to BM for the first time back in 2011. It was one of the greatest experiences in our lives. We made the decision to bring our then 5 year old with us. He had a great time! At the time we heard that there was a camp where people with kids tended to camp together. Does anyone know where we can meet other parents or if there will be a similar kids friendly camp this year? I think it would be great for our son to get the chance to meet more 'little burners' this time around. Thank for any feedback.

- Joel

I believe that camp is called Kidsville.

You both are wrong... It's def http://www.jimhillas.org/spankyswinebar.html.. They have that huge, kid-friendly seesaw out front.

Seriously, Kidsville is where you want to hang. And if you want to volunteer at Lamplighters we are one of the few (I may be wrong) camps that has volunteer responsibilities for little burners.

No flames/carryong for them.. LOL.... We're not that crazy!

They get robed and get to work as support, usually alongside a part that is a carrier/lifter/support person.

I figure their little person is about 7 and is likely able to walk the playa alongside their parent. As long as the little person can do that an communicate they should be fine.

Not sure what happened to his robe(huge photo, not my file... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the little person behind him):

Find the little person in this one:

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
