words are just words...sticks and stones do damage, but if you give a word power and meaning, it is from within.
it's not the word, but how you react to it.
i had a discussion about this last night, as i too, often use words that are "offensive"....after watching Frank Zappa on crossfire , i more firmly believe in "It's just words"...viewtopic.php?f=325&t=63585
use them, play with them, make fun of them, throw them around, but don't ever let them hurt you.
i guess this all leads to the question of censorship, when to be an asshole, when not to be, community standards etc etc, what is acceptable and what is not.
freedom of speech is a two sided sword, but i dont really believe in the concept of 'hate speech"...it's really all based on perception and point of view anyway.
