-Charles Fort

We can begin with the Antikthera mechanism, one of the more famous.
Dated to the 1st century BC, it was probably used as an atronomical clock.

In 1992, the nanospirals were discovered in the Ural Mountains by geologists who were working with materials that were approximately 100,000 years old. You cannot see nanospirals with your naked eye, but they are greatly formed pieces of tungsten, molybdenum or copper. When viewed under an electron microscope the spiral formation is clearly viewed...

I'm looking at those spirals and wondering how something 100,000 years old and made out of metal still have tooling marks visible?

It's either one heck of an unnerving find, or it's a wonderful hoax.

Either way, I want to see more!

Edit: Can you imagine a ship full of aliens entering the upper atmosphere and dumping a thousand pounds of this stuff? The ultimate calling card. "By the time these semi-sentient simians have the technology to even find this stuff, they'll be ready to believe we exist".
Give me an underground laboratory, half a dozen atom-smashers, and a beautiful girl in a diaphanous veil waiting to be turned into a chimpanzee, and I care NOT who writes this nation’s laws. ... S.J. Perelman

For what its worth... I went to Belize in 1990, with a friend who is a more than hobby Archeologist. There was an ongoing dig way out in the bananas. Had to boat around, and then drag the boat through knee deep mud for a mile or so to hit land. Way out there in the wet, the Archis had set up a camp, and were going through the dumps of a non-extant town. Their prizes were duly displayed on... you guess it... banana crates. One of the things that they found was a clay copy of a bronze chinese vessel. Complete with rivets.
Blew my mind.

And, in true Archi style, on the way back, we went swimming to wash off the mud, and had to scurry back into the boat because there was a hidden saltwater croc watching us. Then we snorkeled for lobsters, dragged their spiney selves home for dinner. It was delicious.

When you get this old, with this much spunk, you have seen things that you have to be careful whom you tell. I don't look good in white coats - conflicts with my ruddy complexion.
Let GOOD win!

Various artifacts, ancient maps, ancient ship designs, along with genes in populations they shouldn't be in, said to support "ancient" Chinese exploration of the world with very large ships in the 1400s. Places "visited" include Nova Scotia, Carolinas & Florida. Not accepted yet. Yet it would explain various artifacts. Then there's things like Chinese Dragons vs. the flying snakes of Central America.
There're supposedly images of UFOs and dinosaurs scratched on stones in South America. Once the locals found out that tourists would buy these up, seems a whole lot more of them turned up, only with a much more modern providence.

The Phaistos Disc (also spelled Phaistos Disk, Phaestos Disc) is a disk of fired clay from the Minoan palace of Phaistos on the Greek island of Crete, possibly dating to the middle or late Minoan Bronze Age (1850 BC - 1600 BC). It is about 5.9" in diameter and covered on both sides with a spiral of stamped symbols. Its purpose and meaning, and even its original geographical place of manufacture, remain disputed, making it one of the most famous mysteries of archaeology. This unique object is now on display at the archaeological museum of Heraklion.

The Voynich manuscript, described as "the world's most mysterious manuscript", is a work which dates to the early 15th century (1404-1438), possibly from northern Italy.

According to one version of a legend that is already recorded in the Middle Ages the scribe was a monk who broke his monastic vows and was sentenced to be walled up alive. In order to forbear this harsh penalty he promised to create in one single night a book to glorify the monastery forever, including all human knowledge. Near midnight he became sure that he could not complete this task alone, so he made a special prayer, not addressed to God but to the fallen angel Lucifer, asking him to help him finish the book in exchange for his soul. The devil completed the manuscript and the monk added the devil's picture out of gratitude for his aid. In tests to recreate the work, it is estimated that reproducing only the calligraphy, without the illustrations or embellishments, would have taken 5 years of non-stop writing.

The door, or the "Puerta de Hayu Marca" (Gate of the gods/spirits) has been at some time in the distant past carved out of a natural rock face and in all measures exactly seven meters in height by seven meters in width with a smaller alcove in the center at the base, which measures in at just under two meters in height.

It turned out that the native indians of the region had a legend that spoke of "A gateway to the lands of the gods", and in that legend it was said that in times long past, great heroes had gone to join their gods and passed through the gate for a glorious new life of immortality, and on rare occasions those men returned for a short time with their gods to "inspect all the lands in the kingdom" through the gate. Another legend tells of the time when the Spanish Conquistadors arrived in Peru, and looted gold and precious stones from the Inca tribes - and one Incan priest of the temple of the seven rays named Aramu Maru fled from his temple with a sacred golden disk known as "The key of the gods of the seven rays", and hid in the mountains of Hayu Marca.
