I want to start by saying to those of you who helped make my burn this year so amazing, Thank You. I have an awesome idea for 2013. I would like some feedback and some more people to join the Crew.
My basic idea starts with a 7 foot x 4 foot golden picture frame. I want to take it out to the playa, along with many others and set them up at specific points where the view through it is looking at landmarks and art pieces.
If I could get unique picture frames donated by other participants as well as lighting and guy wires and the like. It would really help to make this happen.
My background is in photography, I would love for other people who like to take pictures to volunteer time to capture the pics and later share with the people who had their pics taken.

Sometimes I have frames in the Home For Wayward Art, for people to take and use. In 2011, they mostly just sat there. I've used many for art now, but I have a couple around. The large ones are too big to ship effectively. Perhaps we can make arrangements for you to pick them up on playa.

I've seen this done now and then out there, but it always is a wonderful interaction. Go for it!
These are not my fuckos.

Hello. This is my first year at burning man and in so psyched! I have an idea for a musical project called the melody house. It would be a building made entirely out of musical instruments all tuned to the same pentatonic scale. There would be many marimba keys lining all the walls with mallets hanging near by. Some walls would be made of taught tuned wires for plucking. There would be drums, bells, horns, wind chimes, and any musical instruments that burners bring. The melody house would encourage spiritual bonding through community jam sessions. With a pentatonic scale and some drumers who can hold a beat I think anyone, musician or not, could participate.

The 11th guiding principle of Burning Man is that drum circles are unwelcome.

We're still working to get those loopholes patched.

Drummers are great! The people attracted to drum-circles... not so great.

That needs some refinement: The people who participate in drum-circles... not so great.

Simon,
Those after pictures are horrible. The before pictures aren't too wholesome either.

I can only deduce that it gives your hair a lot of body and volume after just a few months of use!
