We are fast approaching Samhain A time of remembrance, a time when we remember those who have passed on, a time when the door to the other-world is open and the dead walk among us to speak to us in waking dreams and slumber.

R.I.P.

Paul Addis.

Hope your suicide has delivered you from the pain that drove you to do so many selfish, fucked up things.

He's dead, so I don't think he's in a position to appreciate any kind of deliverance or final statements. I do feel for everybody who was travelling on or working for BART at the time, and whoever had to scrape him off the trackway. At least he didn't do it on the weekday commute.

Rest in peace Paul. For some, forgiveness is a hard thing. I hope you have finally found the peace you were looking for.

RIP Marvin Morgan 48.

The husband of a friend of mine passed away on Nov. 16 from Lung and bone cancer. Left behind is my friend Maria, and their four children, Marvin Jr., Matthew, Marissa, and Mariah.

He was diagnosed 6 weeks ago and passed peacefully. The family felt blessed that they were all able to say goodbye. Today he was laid to rest.

Hail and farewell to my friend Bruce, who passed away on Thanksgiving day doing something he loved. Bruce was found floating on his surfboard. Great style right to the end.

Seriously. I've never been lucky enough to surf, but if it's like surfers say, some of 'em wouldn't mind going Bruce's way.

I'm sorry for your loss, Mojojita.

Thank you sweetheart. My memories of him are all happy ones but I grieve for his wife and family, especially with such an unexpected and untimely loss.

We cannot choose the time or place. Just a lucky few get to go out in such fine style. At least those left behind may one day to smile at his passing knowing that he was doing what he loved.

I am sorry for your loss and for the loved ones left behind. I hope that in time the good memories will overshadow the immediate hardships and provide a sweetness to cover the loss.
