Theme Predictions for 2013

Cargo Cult - Who is John Frum? He is known to us by many names, this Visitor from Elsewhere, dispenser of endless abundance and wielder of mysterious technologies: John Frum, Quetzalcoatl, Osiris, "Bob." His cargo is splendid, his generosity boundless, his motives beyond our understanding. But across the ages and around the world, the stories all agree: one day he will return, bearing great gifts. Our theme this year asks three related questions; who is John Frum, where is he really from, and where, on spaceship Earth, are we all going?

On the theme of Oceans, maybe "Water is Life", or just "Water"

Atlantic
Baltic
Caspian
Dead
Erie
Flow? (no oceans, seas, rivers that I could find)
Gulf
Huron
Indian
Japan
Kioga
Lake

Perhaps not ethereal enough... Brings too much of the default world into bman..? Maybe something more like:
Adhesion
Bubble
Cohesion
Drown
Element
Flow
Guzzle
Hydrate
Ice
Jet
Knot
Life

Or how about "The Alphabet"?!
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L

I like some of the ideas here, Time Travel, Past Lives, Water all have my vote.

My two bits is "Safety & Security"

I'd love to see how burners sarcastically strip that down to the smoke and mirrors it is.

Oooo.... I like that one.
Order vs Chaos
Life vs Death
Feast vs Famine
Fire vs Water

I wonder what they base their decisions on... The ability to think up 10+ street names? Maybe it is supposed to be topical to the day... What's goin on these days? Oooo i know! Kony! :)

Kony:
AK-47
Brutality
Child soldiers
Death
... this thing writes itself!

NOT a good idea. I interpret my own street as a euphemism for a citywide reacharound and would take more liberties than the Department of Homeland Security...

I think Obscurity would make a dandy theme.

That could actually be a hell of a lot of fun!
And rather than esplanade going around the inside ring of the playa, it would go around the out side of the square blocks. The major sound camps would be at the top left and top right corners.
Then when you went out to walk the esplanade, if you walked the whole thing, you would end up back at where you started.

The Temple could be on the south side of the city, and the Man on the north side of the city. Each about 2,000ft out from the edge of the city.

A giant laser pointed straight up would mark the center of the square grid. That point would be (0,0). Addresses would be more be based off a coordinate grid system.

"Ok cool! Were just up and over at (1,-5)"
