wow, good driving asd (mind if I abbreviate aseredipity?)
yeah, I was here.....actually, I poured a round in "the bar" IIRC.

and yeah, asd........now you've got me thinking:
I had the hydro boots unit changed on my truck today, dropped it, and went to lunch with burner pals.......came back, and, the mechanic said "it's all done, except I can't get the radio to work.
WFT? says I......it was playing when I pulled in, and the hydroboost is not electrical......did you check fuses?
uuhh.....no.........so he checkes some, says, it's not that, you better go back to the waiting room.........
I have a brain flash when I get there, turn aournd and back out, where he's beginning to tear the radio out of the dash......
I say WFT?...........you didn't touch it before, take your pud-wackers off it now!
and I turned the key to "ACC" and the radio came on. Surprise!! says I, it must be electrical, and must be something loose, or a fuse.......did you bump anything taking stuff out and putting back?
"no".........well, ok, I said, just humor me, and check every fuse in this box here, with your tester:
"well, ok, but I would know if I shorted anything......"
me: "please".
so he test.........5th fuse in "hey, this one is burned".........
me *look of shock* "imagine"
and,........what does it control?

well look at that, it controls half the ignition switch, but, we don't sell fuses here........

me: "no fucking way"! *smiling*, you get a fucking fuse!!
he runs and steals one from the service truck, plugs it in........hey look, the radio works!!
I tell him he's a genious for figuring it out so quick, pat him on the shoulder and say yay, glad you didn't rip out my whole dash and radio.........

"yeah" he says, "glad I found that"

I say "good job"

then I say, hey, how big was that fuse?

"50 amp" he says..........me, to my self "seems it would have made a spark".........ah well.

but now, I'm driving on the part, the major brake controller part, he put in.......................*looks to asd for sympathy*
who's drinkin?

Yg, you have such smart mechanics... mind those brakes for a while. Getting cooler here, still nice though. I did the annual shift of the "fireplace" from in front of the heater, to back in front of the AC. I need to work on the crackler. I disconnected it because it sounds like a record when the music ends, and the needle doesn't lift. eh, so much for atmosphere.

ASD, I think I know the corner and no brakes there could be scary. Glad you made it through Good thinking YG. Sometimes the most obvious gets overlooked.

Dives into the NEB hoping that MDF feels better tomorrow. I had a sick day today as well, but feeling better now.

Well, I did it. Put poor Storm to sleep yesterday. What with cataracts and lung disease, it was too much to bear. So Joelle and I took kitty to the vet and had him put to sleep, and then laid him to rest at his favorite corner by the swimming pool. RIP kitty Storm; you were a wonderful pet.

snowed here behind the zion curtain too. Damn cold last night. Parked the house at wally world, put on a pot of soup and turned on the furnace. About the time the soup was luke warm the propane gave out. The furnace never did come on. Fortunately, back when I though I was going to live in the windstar, I had purchased an ozark camp stove and a couple of propane bottles for it. So the soup was heated and eaten and then we piled under the blankets for the night. Would'a been a good night too, if Luna had not kept trying to sit on my face all night long. Luna is the cat. Finally convinced her that sleeping under the blanket by my waist was better that continually getting tossed out on the floor. The rest of the night was good.

Found a flying J this morning and got the propane tank filled. Made it to work just in time. Gonna test the furnace at break.

whiskey anyone?

does it have dual propane tanks?
good to get these kinks worked out, before "big winter" sets in.

Not assuming you don't but, you're familiar with heating issues in an airtight space, such as yours, right? like not heating with the cook stove?

Just 1 propane tank. 5 gallon.

I don't think it is a problem with the furnace, it vents outside. And I know about the stove, always open a roof vent when we are cooking.

And yeah, what Savannah said;
