Computer monitor required

Postby boaty » Tue Aug 14, 2012 11:21 am

Hello there

Can anyone help out Camp Career Ending Footage by bringing an unwanted computer monitor to BRC? It's needed as a prop in our camp and as we're all coming from the UK we're not sure if we'll be able to get one on the way. We'll pick it up from you and dispose of it afterwards, or we can meet in Reno (where we're staying on the Saturday night) and take it off your hands there.

We're located at Foxglove and 7.15, and we're aiming to arrive in BRC on the Sunday.

Alternatively if anyone knows of anywhere on the route from San Fransico to Reno to BRC that we'll definitely be able to get one then please say.

Any help appreciated!

Try thrift stores eg Goodwill at South Van Ness & Mission Street in San Francisco, probably $50 or so. Call them up, ask for the computer department.

LOL! The computer department! You mean the department for stuff besides clothes.

Boaty, you could also just walk in and ask them if they have a computer monitor, and that it doesn't even have to work.
I know working at one of the Goodwills, here in Denver we got all sorts of broken computer stuff. The folks dropping it off would say "I bet you can get it fixed for cheap. Then sell it and make money."
Yeah right! Like Goodwill sends anything out to be fixed. People didn't know that we had giant watermelon boxes full of 'fixable' computers and parts every day.
Why don't ya stick your head in that hole and find out? ~piehole
