After years of dreaming, my wife and I are finally coming to burning man! I will be bringing all of our camp gear in a RV/trailer with a brand new engine rebuild, and my wife will riding her bike. Will someone please tell us which route hasn't got any hills?

Okay, this is probably not the best place to ask the question--somewhere in the transportation threads or the tips and tricks/questions and answers sub-forum.
And the playa is 4,000 feet above sea-level. It may not be possible to avoid hills altogether.
And (and this may be the most important and) we have no idea where you're setting off from. A route from Washington state is a whole different kettle of fish than one from Washington, D.C.

But I thought there was only one true route to burningman, and it has a bike path.

I saw dead people on the playa.

Wait, maybe they were just old.

They got off a bus and looked around.

It harshed my buzz.

I'd like to build an inexpensive shade structure that can withstand the worst weather the playa has to offer and let me keep cool all day long. It can't have poles any longer than what I can shove up my own ass, and it can't require any skill or intelligence to assemble whatsoever. I can't be bothered to read any of the hundreds of threads and post on the subject, and probably won't even bother to read the replies to my thread…go!

i would use rickety pallets and hot glue.

i'll explain step by step how to do it, and where to obtain all of your materials so you dont have to do the leg work.

I've heard a garbage bag over a persons head, will work like shade, and you'll not ever feel the heat after a few minutes.

Heading out to costmo today to buy supplies, would you recommend the white trash bags or the black? The white usually only come in the smaller kitchen sizes, which should fit my head, no problem. The larger black trash bags, though, have room enough for guests. Depending on if I needed full body shade protection, the 55 gal. size contractor bags might be the way to go. Between the drawstring type closure, and the loose tie-off type bag, have any of you had experience, first hand, on which would work best in my unique situation? I would guess that my neck size is roughly alittle over a 13 inches around, though my head is considerally fatter than average.

This year, thanks to your great spirit, I have decided to gift to the community trash bags/shade shelters. Each will come pre-expanded, containing various additions to your recycling bin and trash fire. Stop by my camp for this gift from the heart. I don't want to have to spell it out, but I am doing this selflessly for you...and you...and you over there.

A box of trash bags, what do you think, a $2000 kickstarter campaign? I've also looked on-line and have found scented trash bags available. Do you think these would reach my address in time for the burn? Not sure, is pine scent considered moop?

I was reading about dry ice and ice chests, but it all seemed so complicated. Is there any other way to keep my clif bars and jerky from going bad? And really, what is it with you guys and bacon??????

I've come up with the solution for the ticket problem. If they print names on the tickets, then everything will be good. :D
