My SO and I are looking for a theme camp to join. Preferably in an RV with another really cool couple. Did I mention we're both young and single? I can't imagine there's anything else you'd need to know about us, so I'll leave it at that and just bump this thread every couple of days so nobody misses a chance to reply.

Anyone who camps in an RV is a rich, elitist jerk who doesn't really "get" Burning Man; anyone who camps in a tents is a whiny, pathetic, loser who thinks you have to suffer to enjoy the event.

Personally, I make a shelter out of water & dust every night, then spend the morning grinding it back to the correct playa consistency so you wouldn't even know I was there...

I want to buy and sell all kinds of illegal substances on the playa. I figure if I let the LEOs feel my tits, they'll turn a blind eye..... right?

You and I should hang out. I'm doing something that violates my own moral code, and am torn between:

1) showing off my cleverness & being chastised by strangers, thereby receiving a vague punishment for my transgressions (which makes it all okay).

-OR-

2) being told it's all actually okay, which I would strongly prefer.

What is the best way to sneak into Burning Man?

Why should I have to pay for a ticket? I am poor. I just traveled the world for 3 years and my wisdom alone should warrant me a ticket.

I am a 10 year burner: Gate, greeters, center camp take the tickets and give you hugs. Right??

Your all wrong! My 20 year old bamboo shade structure can handle the wind at Burning Man.

Last time I was there (10 years ago) It took 5 minutes to get in. Why is there a 8 hour line up to get in this year?

Hey, I'm fairly new here and I just wanted to say that you guys are all really mean. I've used the internet before and can recognize snark but telling me to search through years and years of good advice to answer my question is cruel.

I thought this was supposed to be like the playa!

So I'm a 15-year burner who is very burny and loves to burn stuff at Burning Man, which is my home. My new girlfriend isn't burny at all (although she is smokin' hot!). She thinks the event is stupid, and she and won't come to Burning Man. I told her I was going without her, and she got all jealous and pissy. I can't miss the event because I am so very, very burny. How can I go to Burning Man without my awesome new girlfriend -- with whom I apparently share no core values and can't really communicate very well -- and keep my relationship from falling apart?

Did I mention that she's smokin' hot?

Hi everyone! I'm noob and I have a million of the same questions asked every year. Although you pointed me to a helpful thread or to the burning man main site, and told me to read the survival guide, I'll ask them anyway!
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

I lost my favourite hat on the playa last year. Or maybe it was the year before. I forgot all about it until just now, but now that I remember it, I'm desperate to get it back. It's brown and fuzzy with ears like a baby bear. So cutteeeeee! I think I lost it at the intersection of 2:00 and Centre Camp, on the night of one of the burns. If you found it, please post here, in this year-old thread I necro'ed. I'll check back next year, if I remember, to see if there are any replies.

Please argue amongst yourselves and tell me what to do because this is by no means a personal choice.
