Consequences of Nude Fashion?

What to wear? What not to wear? Where to find and how to make anything from goggles to fantastic pieces of playawear.

Thanks, Ano

I didn't even think about the dusty bike seat... that's something i'm going to have to figure out.

I appreciate the insight and i don't consider it to be TMI

With regards to the bike seat - I think you're totally fine if you just wipe it down with something real quick once or twice a day. I never thought of that out there, but I feel that if I'm just a bit more proactive in making sure that my less-seen parts aren't constantly grinding on dusty leather, I won't end up with Playa-swamp-ass. Hell, there's also the Hiney Hygiene station if you're really worried about it... I never actually made it out there, even when thinking about it, because every damn time I tried I'd suddenly be jumping on a trampoline or playing golf or riding a crane.. or something.

Cover your bike seat with fur, or a stuffed critter, for a more comfortable playa ride.

Welp, thanks to this thread, my all-white-fur bike now has a black-purple-green-blue seat (only fur I had!) to protect my.... well, to not get Playa-ass again!

Playa-Ass is not pleasant, let me tell you... but if it was between Playa-ass or Playa-foot, I think I'd go with ass, because it just made things slightly weird... playa-foot would put me out for the burn it sounds like!

actually, the thought of naked ass on a white fur seat sounds like a skidmark opportunity waiting to happen, so i think colorific is the way to go

i hope to see you out on the playa! i'll keep an eye out for the furry white bike

Taint burn can fuck your burn. Let's see - you're soaking your fur in playa and sweat and rubbing it vigorously against plastic against your body weight. Or if you use a cover, you will feel every seam or bump or poly-curl. When I ride a bicycle, I wear clothes, and I'm a confirmed nudist. Nobody is impressed one way or the other. Shave your nads is one way to go, but no guarantees.

Cannot understate the almost-instant relief from vinegar spray. We bring a gallon of vinegar water, a football, and a strip of spare carpet.

Bike seats... make a fuzzy bike cover. Maybe make a few in case they get sweaty. You'll see lots of people with bike seats stamped into their asses, which isn't as bad as a toilet seat ring...

The alkali dust tortures your feet, eyes and lungs, but as for the skin it feels like it has a healing quality. It's like talcum powder. Won't protect you from the sun, though.

The elevation of Black Rock City is about 4,100 feet above sea level and the sun is so direct that the water itself is sunburned to death. You know what sucks? A dick sunburn at Burning Man. If you can't have any fun at Burning Man because your dick is too sunburned, you did it wrong.

Forfucksake, don't liberally-apply sunscreen to your naughty bits in front of people because it confuses the tourists. It's better if you have a bunch of friends do it to you.

Note that while Foil Tape is good radiant barrier – great for heat rejection, reflecting sun & heat away – and it can be removed from the roll and cut to a length, width or shape before peeling the paper backing off, Foil Tape should NOT be used as pasties or peter-protectors for sun-burn protection.
