Hi everyone!!!

Hi everyone!!!

Postby diana1n » Sat Apr 07, 2012 10:44 am

My name is Diana, I am from Boston MA and I am a Burning Man virgin! Wanted to introduce myself and reach out to you all. I am so excited about going and would love and appreciate any assistance in finding a group or individual that would be willing to allow me to tag along with them for my first time.

My intention is to be present, meditate and to share this expression of love that is Burning Man with you all.

Thank you so much for your time and hope that we cross paths.

Love,
Diana

Hi diana1n,

Welcome to ePlaya :)

The eplaya can be a wonderful resource of tips and ideas. It can also be a hateful bucket of malice an hate.

The best way of getting pages of snark is to ask some questions that a couple thousand others have asked. I suggest googling "eplaya tents", "eplaya shade structure" or "eplaya boots", you get the idea...

Of course, you have already check out the First Timer's Guide: http://www.burningman.com/first_timers/ and the Survival guide: http://www.burningman.com/preparation/event_survival/

The desert is a harsh mistress, in fact I am sure she is trying to kill us :) Properly prepared, you will do fine.

Hi Diana! Welcome. :)

Click on Massachusetts and adjacent states in this link and join the mailing lists of local groups. Meeting local burners is a great way to meet people with whom you can rideshare.

Welcome
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.

Hi Diana,
Sorry for not noticing your post earlier, I don't frequent eplaya much these days.
I jsut wanted to say that if you're looking to meet up with experienced Burner-types, there's a meet & greet at the Cambridge Brewing Company every Tuesday night. There's a surprising number of Burner folk in the Boston area working on cool projects and lookin' to meet new blood all the time.
