Hello!!
My name is KiKi :-)
I am a costume designer and burlesque clown based out of Houston, Tx. I'm going to the burn this year as part of a fantastic group of artist who are building a piece out there called Singularity Transmissions. While my main focus is getting this thing built, I would love to get to perform while we are there. While I easily fit in any burlesque style show, my particular style (in all its ridiculousness) is poking fun of the strip tease and being the awkward fool that I am. I produce my own circus style variety shows in Houston called KiKi's Sordid Sideshow so you can see some pictures and videos at the website
SordidSideshow.com
I'm also currently working on a number for a fundraiser this Saturday (for our BM project!) where I am a stripping cow. So there's that....
Anyway, I'd love to join a crazy show and meet other performers while up there so I it seemed like this was the place to try and do it. Thanks!!!
XoXo

Greetings Earthlings!

I am MO7S and I will be attending this years Burning Man. I have been djing some 18 years, I run my own independent music label, Monism Music, and have performed at several Burning Man stages including 2010 Roots Society, both Underground and Yoshiwara as well as Transmorphagon 2011 and my home Theme Camp, Darwin Fish Tank. I play a mixture of bass driven minimal and maximal tech house & techno, with occasional breakbeats and turntablism. I bring energetic sets during both day and night, and tend to have many different concept sets thru out the week. If you are interested in my complimentary services, feel free to contact me thru these channels, or any of the below links.

HIGHLINE performance

Postby krr » Thu May 24, 2012 2:37 pm

I would like to do a highline performance.
Highlining is the art of walking over a 1" wide slackline high above the ground. It is best described with visuals: http://vimeo.com/40876459
Despite walking its possible to do big vertical or horizontal movements with the line, or even trampolin like tricks.

Therefore I need SOLID! structures. I'm more then happy to help constructing them, I will bring all gear for rigging the highline with me. I will be secured with climbing equipment at all times.
I slackline for arround 7 years, the last 2 years practically every day -> I know what I'm doing (can send tons of pictures to proof my experience)

If you are interested please contact me, there will be some details to discuss.
I do have a ticket.

Greetings Friends of the Dust!

I'm a spoken word poet keen to do perform some poems somewhere or other.... I did a few in 2010 at Center Camp Cafe, but am considerably more polished than I was two years ago, and looking forward to bringing the good words to the Playa.

Hey All,

My Name is Peter (a.k.a "PIRO") and I would love the opportunity to play at Burning Man this year.

I live in Melbourne, Australia and after attending (and playing at) my first burn last year I am so looking forward to returning home.

I'm 26 and I've been DJing for about 10 years now. My main genres to spin is PSY TRANCE (140-145bpm) and I like to mix my sets based on the energy of the crowd and taking them on a cosmic journey. I also play ELECTRO SWING, Prog, Techno, wobble, chill & many other genres of music and I play a wide BPM range.

Last year I played Sunrise on Friday morning on the psytribe stage. Watching the sun come up over the horizon of the playa while playing uplifting melodic psychedelic trance was one of the most memorable moments of my life. It was so beautiful that it actually brought a tear to my eye.

I would really love the chance to share my music with you all again. If anyone out there would has a spot for me please let me know.

Also feel free to ad me on facebook http://www.facebook.com/peterpiroweber or email me pirotechnics@hotmail.com and if you would like to know anything more about my music please ask.

Peace, Love & Fire,

Piro :)

***** DJS + SOUND SYSTEM + GOGO DANCERS THAT DON'T PLAY DUBSTEP *****

If you have a mid sized camp that is looking for dedicated entertainment for your parties then we are just what you are looking for.

Here is what we come with
- 2 x DJs (techno, tech house, deep house, electro house) *** NO DUBSTEP ***
- 2 x professional GOGO dancers that are very very cute
- 3000+ watt Mackie sound system that rocked the Esplanade last year
- 15+ DMX controllable lights + software and hardware to run them

PM me if you are interested and I'll share more details and send you some mixes and pictures

DISCLAIMER: I have no issue with dubstep, and listen to it once in a while, but prefer other genres that I feel are more dancable, and less respresented at the burn than dubstep is...

Postby Phildo » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:23 pm

Well hello there!

I'm Phildo (a dj; 80% prog tech/electro, 15% dstep, and 5% rock. +/- 5%)

I'm a not-so-average corporate tool by day, and edm music enthusiast/gamer by night. Yes, most of the year i'm busy, and i don't get much free time. So i usually record dj sets and send them to people. I love dj'ing, and people love listening.

I also love the people at burning man, and i love their taste. It's only my second year so far, but the first year was enough of an impact on me that i must return...........and i must dj.

I'm a member of the camp "Do More Now" (aka Universal Citizens at Play and U-Paint It Now). I will be occasionally dj'ing here, but my goal (dream) is to dj at a dedicated sound stage with a hefty system in my home town of Black Rock City.
(**pathetic begging alert!) PPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEee help me out if you can. (**Smug alert!) YES, I'm a damn good dj!

If you are interested, let me know.
Also, this is a little collection of some random sets I have recorded http://www.doctor-philgood.com

Greetings Burners!

I am an aspiring dance performer, specializing in hoopdance (single hoop and doubles) although I've been known to bellydance and go-go as well. I make my own costumes and love to capture audiences! You can see a few pictures of me while performing on my Facebook and, as of right now, I've got one video of myself hooping in the park. I hope to get more videos up soon! I also have a fire hoop for stages that allow it.

I also pole dance but don't have my own pole right now. If your stage has one (even if just for participants playing on) I would love to know! I will be starting aerial classes in a couple weeks, and will hopefully have enough skills to play with on the playa!

This will be my third Burning Man.

I'm from Austin, TX and now live in Portland, OR. Modeling for photographers is my day job.

Hope to here from you soon!

My info is below, PM me for details if you're interested in booking us to play together. Please send a message on soundcloud as well as here if you want us to play =)

Video of turntable torch performance at United festival ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRSe-WaZ ... Mz1GJhhGis

"Influenced by his older brothers who were masters at production and live performance, XZENTRADI started having many dreams about music production and decided to start producing music. In 1998 in collaboration with his brother Raphael AKA RA they formed a project called Ouroboros. Three main albums were produced along with a variety of remixes and B-sides with genres such as New Age, Breakbeats, Industrial and Trance. Tim and Raphael also produced Hip Hop beats for local projects EMD and KB Mob. EMD now known as local Hip Hop artist George Life. In 2000 Tim started recording DJs at local events and has recorded over 250 DJ sets from local and out of state DJs. In 2001 after much time of watching and studying DJs he decided to start DJing. The name XZENTRADI was born as he started out playing NRG/UK Hardhouse at local underground events. He later moved into genres such as House, Breakbeats, Drum & Bass, and Jungle. In 2006 he started playing Dubstep and started taking more of a philosophical, consciousness based and themed approach to his DJ mixes. The name XZENTRADI was split into alter egos XZENmAsTA and TRADI as the higher self battled the shadow self as portrayed in the double disc DJ mixes entitled sh1fT hAppEnXZ and 111um1TRAD1. He currently plays Dubstep, Midtempo and Drumstep. One of the first to spin records with fire turntables AKA turntable torches, he has spun fire turntables with numerous fire performers at events such as the Evolution Festival, United Festival, Freedom Fest and the Utah regional Burn AKA Element 11. He has shared the stage with DJs and producers such as Knowa Knowone, Joe Nice, Noah D, DJG, 6Blocc, APX-1, Ishe, HavocNdeed, No Thing, TZR and Dj'd with performance groups Cirkus Pandemonium, Vaudeville Avant Garde, Hula Hoopology and The Utah Fire Conclave."

Re: Artists looking for stages

Postby afrodisiac » Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:20 pm

Hiya friendly folk:

I am a live performance VJ/visualist (VJ name 'piXelThief') looking to show some of my more psychedelic work this year. I play a couple gigs a month, usually improvised/jam-style as an accompaniment to live PA (sometimes improvised) electronic music.

Lately I've been using a lot of nature documentary footage for content, layered and with multiple FX added based on a live audio feed. This strictly organic/natural/analog source material, and strictly digital/processed filters has been very successful no matter what type of crowd I've played in front of; check out these sample vids:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnziJqRJHKo
(Ookistra, improvised/live PA. This set was for a movie theatre, and the smartphone video recording doesn't do justice to the darker parts I designed for the amazing projector I was using)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZDBZg_Q1R0
(Microbongo, live PA. This performance was recorded and mastered for a future DVD release, and the colour palette of the visuals were chosen by the band to accompany each song in their set)

On the more experimental/interactive side, I've been using a Microsoft Kinect (with a looooong USB/power cord), and having a fellow VJ buddy walk the crowd looking for amazing dancers. The Kinect can pick out the dancer's silhouette and use that as a separate video layer. Depending on the layout of your soundstage/VJ-booth it might be possible to bring these next-level interactive visuals to the playa!

PS Have ticket, a spare laptop, and an art car ;)

Greetings all!

Looking to share the music I make with the playa once again! I played a handful of stages back in 2007 but was too busy building the temple in 2008 and doing my own thing in 2009 to seek performance slots. This is my first year back since 2009 and I am excited to share what I've been doing. I'd love to play your sound stage or art car! I'll be working on DPW this year and super excited to swap my time between working hard to keep the city running while also playing hard in my off-time!

I produce mostly but also DJ...i've performed alongside several underground and established acts from all over the world...Somatic Responses, Xanopticon, Enduser, Wet Mango, JELO, Niveau Zero, 6bloc, and many more. Please give a listen and if you like what you hear, drop me a line here on ePlaya or through my soundcloud.

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

I'm Disko DNA from Berlin/Germany. I play after-hour house for when the night stopped but the party continues. So let gift my services to your stage, in the early and late morning, when the sun rises but people just can't go home. Give me two CDJs and I give you happiness.

I have a ticket and will be on the playa for the entire time. My camp is the Eridu Society http://www.eridusociety.org/

Howdy All!

My name is Darko. Here are some recent videos of me with my band:

Tell Me Something Good by Stevie Wonder - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08FZqXW2VqI

Something in the Air by Thunderclap Newman - into Why on Earth (original song) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoFvYq8x29Q

Sweet Euphoria by Chris Cornell - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qrynN5srbc

As of now my drummer *might* be coming to BRC this year, but my guitarist and bassist are definitely not. I'm happy to rock out solo - just me and my guitar - but I usually throw a playa band together. Here's what I did last year on the Center Camp Cafe stage before the Burning Opera took over: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUonnyxPj0U

I'd love to play your stage / bar / lounge / orgy dome / RV / what-have-you. :)

Love, Darko

P.S. Just for the fun of it, here's me with my band Pattern Interrupt at Burning Man 2006: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDAAB3P303M

HIP HOP / ELECTRONIC BLENDED CONSCIOUS RAP
>>

My name is Undermind. I am from Eugene, Oregon and have been performing and making hip hop based music for over ten years, recently developing a new style focusing on mashed electronic and remixed hip hop. I am looking to perform (MC/DJ) on the playa this year. I have an all self contained performance setup and only need to plug into a mixer thats hooked up to your sound. I typically do a one hour set of 50/50 original and remixed work with vocals spread over everything.
I have opened for tons of world famous hip hop acts, PM me for details.

Please feel free to email me at itsundermind@gmail.com or send me a private message.

Thank you!!
