I wish I had your gift for this. The other day, I wanted to make an anagram for something, and I spent all day and most of a pencil, and came up short.

there are tools, poke around out there with your gooogly. Anagram

I got really hooked on them while learning computers, I sometimes I'll see one word and then isolate out a few others. often I look for a word in the whole that has contrasting symbolism. "Bacon" in side "Black Rock Sun" but then garbage LKKSU.
so I'll move on.

so you should know I am a horrid speller, with out my spell checker (as on my last phone I had) I pro'ly drove fishy mad.
but the Spell checker suggest words to me that are close anagrams. and

No. I don't mind bad spelling so much. I cannot spell well myself. (I'm working without the spell check net right now so you may see something in today's post un until about now.) Homonyms kind of mess with my head--often in interesting ways. Grammar is hit or miss... I can be a stickler on somethings and utterly indifferent on others. (Skip a word and unless it causes my comprehension to come to a screaming stop, I'm okay. Do something funky with a direct or inderect object and my mind screeches. Studying German has done all sorts of odd stuff to my capitilization, although "I" is capitalized preferred.)
I deeply dislike my reputation as a grammar "tsar". And I guess I'm going to have to make a point of not changing my misspellings for a while until everyone knows directly that I cannot spell.

There's always scrabble pieces, cat, if you don't mind being too Mia Farrow...

The License Plate Game

Postby gyre » Wed May 30, 2012 9:51 pm

In a nutshell, if you search "banned license plates", there are a plethora of hysterical plates banned for the strangest reasons including russian slang insults, etc.
California is especially good at banning plate combinations for stupid reasons.

As you may be aware, most personalized plates seem to translate to something inane, such as Squibblebutt, Late to the Zoo, etc

Your job, should you accept, is to translate any plate, personalized or not, into something the dmv will ban.
Extra points for using source material you planted on the interweb yourself, as a reference.

a friend sent this to me!
Fuckin awesome!
now I have decided to start pulling words out of Blake's the fly.I'll post it when I finish.

The Tiger
William Blake

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

=
Battered Tiger
(That Hanky-Panky, Lawn-Stud Yank).

Tiger, Tiger, in a whirl,
Had a fair way with the girls,
Now that game has run it's course,
He's in the rough - maybe divorce?

What a swinging time he'd had!
What a ball! Hah! What a cad!
Swedish wife, blonde, bright and trim,
Why wasn't that enough for him?

Wife is harsh, the man's in tatters,
Lost the trophy that most matters,
And every birdie that he met's
An albatross around his neck.

From far and wide they all appear,
Strewth! How many are there here?
One, two, three, four... huh?... nine ten!
When did he find time for them?

Ruffled Tiger, shrewd yet green,
The aftermath he hadn't seen,
Nor remembered he was wedded
When each pretty bird he bedded.

Zesty Tiger, in a whirl,
Had a fair way with the girls,
All that effort to be Master,
Frittered, shattered, what disaster.
