That practically puts most people out. Nope, he sat bolt upright on the gurney and started rattling a mile a minute. They had to gas him to get him down. When he has local procedures, the local numbing usually wears off fast, he can feel the procedure but usually just lets the doc do his thing until a muscle twitches. Freaks the surgeon out. He has a bizarrely high pain tolerance.

And yes, he can get scattered. That's what I'm for, herding the energy. We're quite the balancing act.

So I had the day off off skates, because my brother told that if I keep this tempo I will collapse.
It was nice to rest :)
And today again outside and skating...almost 7 miles...and today with little fall ha ha ha...I felt down like ripened pear and have bruised rib and for a moment I thought that my nipples were left on the road...ouch...well, everything is ok and I plan to skate tomorrow again :)

For the months of February and March I was working graveyard shift, 7:00pm to 3:00am, and during that time I lost 12 pounds. :D
But within 3 weeks after I went back to day shift, I gained 5 of it back :x

I've been slacking all winter and spring too. Not feeling great at all so I'm jumping back in to exercising and getting out!

I've been thinking about forming an activity group. I would call it the Barbarian Scouts or something.
We would go on outings into local wilderness areas, to learn primitive wilderness survival, and also to enjoy nature.
We would also lift rocks and other things, something like Cross-Fit and Paleo fitness.
And combat arts, swords, sticks, wrestling, all the barbarian stuff.
Members would form a sort of tribal structure, so it would be natural to round it off with some shamanic ceremonies.
It's just coalescing in my mind now. I'm pretty well trained in all these things. We'll see how it turns out.

I'm going to have surgery next week, put a drain in my seroma. Well. I have no idea how this will affect things, although I'm betting my water aerobics will cease for a while.

It's probably a good thing. You'll get back in the pool in no time.

I did 60 minutes of indoor aerobics today, and still depressed about not losing any appreciable "weight". The clothing test is still good, and still wearing 40D (yay!). I probably need to kick it up and actually WALK somewhere. The last time I walked w Gonzo, I was sore. Clue. I'm getting the distinct impression that I'm getting used to the current workout routine. Not good.

I think the 30min speedwalking commute to and from work 5 times a week is beginning to have an effect. I'm really feeling the muscles workin' in my caboose. :wink:

Huzzah, MA! A very good start.

I've put a couple pounds back on, but hard to tell if it is just fluid retention. Have my gym membership on hold for June and July, until I find out how the drainage tubes go. Sure as hell better work, and work before the regional burn in July!

missed KAIA for the last week because I was at SYMBIOSIS at Pyramid Lake. Walk-in camping! Had to haul everything, yurt, ice chests, tools, clothes bin,etc.
Parking was uphill but if you've ever been to Pyramid lake, you know that the terrain is rocky, hilly, sandy. So I feel like I got lots of exercise from that and I laughed a lot while there, so I think inner abs got a work out too :lol:

Back to KAIA either tonight or start again tomorrow.

I'm consistently sitting around 5 lbs less than I was in late April. Still got a ways to go though. After looking at photos from the wedding I attended this past weekend, I got a reminder I still don't look the way I'd like. Especially standing next to Mr. Fufa's sister who is an elite athlete.

So I hit the gym for an hour yesterday, doing 15 min of stationary bike, then a variety of weight lifting (moving up in how much I can lift!), and then 5 min of cardio on a machine called the Jacob's Ladder. I felt like jelly afterwards.

Also switched my parking location this week, so my walk to work is 12min instead of 30, BUT I have to walk through a uphill dirt trail in the forest and up the equivalent of 5 flights of stairs to get out of the valley. It's quite beautiful.

I just found my basic hula cd yesterday and worked out for 30 mins. I KNEW I'd be sore today, so I stopped at 30 mins. I was right. My upper thighs are so sore, so I'm gonna keep with it, mixing it in with the walk at home gig. I didn't do my regular aerobics this morning, instead did a helluva lot of gardening. Lots of heavy lifting. I'm wreaked now.

Rode this pedal car approximately 30 miles over three days with several other nuts including Killbuck and Nila. And there were around 40 other equally wacky vehicles in the race. The race is actually 42 miles, but we had mechanical issues. My trick knee held up though. All very glorious, and probably healthy too, judging by all I sweated! Here we are coming off the first sand dune and heading down the beach at Manila. This is in Humboldt County, CA, and happens every Memorial Weekend.

This was the 44th annual race, so it is a pretty well established sport, yes. Next race Klamath Falls June 23-24, then Corvallis July 21-22. Also Longmont, Colorado, July 21.
