POUND & PLAY

Postby TomServo » Fri Apr 13, 2012 1:07 pm

GOT MY TICKET! FUCK YEAH!

Pound & Play is going to happen, as best as I can make it happen! This camp will be dedicated to helping out overseas Burners, with BASIC supplies such as Tents, Tarps, Tools,Advice...that would otherwise be thrown away after one use. To thwarting a trend and attitude of Lazyfuckiness. Simply, to help out! Not wipe your ass!
If at all possible, I want to bring my bar "BloodBath&Beyond" out..as part of the camp. It's really too early to be promising that right now. I do have donated material, from my International Burner's plan. Thank you Trishntek and others! I will be stockpiling gear until the trip up.
Anyone interested in joining this camp, or just contributing is more than welcome!..and your interest and efforts greatly appreciated!! There will be no camp dues. Just what you bring and put into it. I will be bringing a modest sized shade and hang out area. Gear packages will be reserved in advance, and NO MONEY will be exchanged!
Gear I will be looking for:
-small-medium tents
-10x10 silver or blue tarps
-sledge hammers
-rebar stakes

...this list will grow, as I'm able to start collecting material.

Help me defeat the Plug&Play scourge!

Glad to hear you can rebuild this service.

Now:

STAY PUT!!!!

Wish I could help out with equipment, but I'm just too far away.

I'll try to.

Already came across a shit load of large frying pans. What is difficult to pack for international flights? Sleeping bags maybe, Coolers probably.

what is difficult to pack for international flights? everything. afeter clothes and essentials camping stuff is just esier and cheaper over there and readily available.

last year i had the luxury camping facilites thanks to MDF, but if i had to get my own shit mel's tent with a tarp over it would of been luxury, i love the idea of pound and play i will be very happy to help in any way my international burner ass can, your offer last year really took a load off my mind about camping facilites and dammit this year i want ti share a bloody mary or 2 with you

Here's an idea too, Maybe the Internat'l burners can buy some of there own gear when they get to Reno, and leave it with you when they leave, and have it for next year!! I think that would help things along too! I'll keep my eyse open for camping stoves too. I bought an excellent one for $8 at a yard sale last year!

Congrats on the ticket! I think MaryAnimal has a fantastic idea. We will start looking around at garage sales etc. for misc. camping gear.

I hope I finally get to hug you!

Thank you all! I came across a pile of posts...actually small tree trunks...about 1.5 - 2inch diameter..bark free and really strong, that would be perfect for building a shade structure off of. They aren't very tall..between 5 foot and 7 foot, but tall enough. I want to keep it simple, and may be getting ahead of myself, but they're there, and want to be used.

I will be making every effort to bring the bar this year! It's not a big bar, but will get the job done. Anyone who specializes in Bloody Marys wanna join?! So this will be a hybrid camp...

I'm coming to the burn, first time. I'm bringing anything I think will be needed to put up a comfortable camp. I'm an oldtimer. Been there done that. would enjoy helping anyone I can. I might just be camped close to you. I like bloody marys. Caribbean style. Mac.
