"bump"
I don't mind a good spanking. But only if it is done by the right person. I suspect my fetish perametars (sp?) are a bit narrower than many of you here though. I'll need to do some work on that.

spanking? not for me. I don't like pain and am never sure how hard or how long to spank for. I guess i should read back to see how this subject came up.

and now, since this thread has "risen"..........can we have a "Zombie Foxthread" day?

what, would it entail?

fires?
drinking?
debauchery?
runningnakedthroughtheforestry?

a day long search, for tiny explosives, left about by ZF? and the hilarity that would ensue as some turned out to be boobie(R) traps?

Somehow this thread seemed right for reanimation. I was thinking of being snarky and rising up all the other buried threads and flooding the active topics. but then I heard a Voice! and low the voice said. "Do not be scared Knowmad! For it Is I the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I Care not for your fluffy bunny thoughts! but I do not want you messing with my Faithful Consumers!" And I was Ashamed! So I hid myself from The Fling Spaghetti Monster. For in my fuzzy bunny heart it was true All I wanted was for the not-so-fuzzy-monkeys To not worry so much about their blessedly pointless lives, and enjoy all things Potato.

And I Said; "But Lord, When you get tolder, things that you potato start looking like glitter. And Glittery Dings donuts Potato any more. 'cept with moo all the pliers got tossed; and the glittery bings start looking like tattertots. They are being a memeical hot-peads. And there is no cure!".

And the The Anger of The flying Spaghetti monster was great and The heavens shook and the ground glowed; and the very air around me was filled with a maniacal laughter and a booming voice that said; "KNOWMAD! KNEEL BEFORE ME AND KNOW I AM YOUR ONE TRUE THOUGHT SPACE OCCUPIER! BECAUSE OF YOUR FOOLISH WAYS I SHALL MARK YOU WITH DUST AND YE SHALL WANDER THE PLAYA FOR ALL ETERNITY ASKING FOR BACON AND PICKING THROUGH THE MOOP OF YOUR FELLOW BUNNY".

And it was So. and for years I have wandered these vast and dusty plains wishing I had just kept my damn mouth shut and drank the Fuckin' kool-aid.

And that Children This is why The Flying Spaghetti Monster Hates Bunnies So much that he sent his Zombie Jesus to bite off our ears and make us poop colored eggs.

May the Gay Cheese be with Moo!

Water planet

Postby catinthefunnyhat » Wed Apr 11, 2012 8:23 am

The other day, in the TPBM thread, knowmad and I had the following exchange:

catinthefunnyhat wrote:TPBM thinks it would be cool if there was a planet that was water all the way through... just a big ol' drop of water with ice or whatever it would be at the core, liquid at the surface, and a vapour atmosphere.

knowmad wrote:Whoa! Cool! We were talking about this last night!

I have enjoyed imagining such a planet for years, and wondered whether it would be possible. What would be in the middle? Water under extreme heat and pressure, so... hot ice? Viscous steam? I had poked around on the Interwebs a bit and never found anything. I considered the possibility that such a planet maybe couldn't exist, because the super-heated/pressurized water at the centre might just explode, or something.

Anyways, after the above exchange, I decided to Google it again, just in case things had changed. And lo, what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a press release from Nasa this year!

News Release Number: STScI-2012-13 | February 21, 2012 09:00 AM (EST)

[....] Larger than Earth but smaller than Uranus, GJ1214b has a lot more water and a lot less solid material than our home planet. According to their research, this waterworld is entirely covered with an ocean. Even its atmosphere is a thick steam layer. Not just hazy, but a "dense atmosphere of water vapor."

According to Berta, what's happening in this new type of world is something that we can't imagine: "the high temperatures and high pressures would form exotic materials like 'hot ice' or 'superfluid water,' substances that are completely alien to our everyday experience."

Our conversation was about Nivin's Ringworld concept.
someone asked what would happen if a large tidal wave started. and of course a bunch of nerds wanted to know where the fifty bajillion gallons of water came from.

I kinda like zombies. I like things about zombies, that is. I'm glad zombies aren't real, and I'm glad I don't have to make the difficult ethical decisions that the presence of real-life zombies would entail.

W-wait... we're cross-threading the forum! It's going to get stuck at an awkward angle!

What if you got bitten by a zombie?

Postby catinthefunnyhat » Wed Apr 11, 2012 9:27 pm

OK, back to the zombie discussion, and cross-threading this with the "live your life or lie down and die" thread:

Some years ago, I had a huge row with a friend about the right thing to do after being bitten by a zombie -- get someone to shoot you in the head, or stay alive knowing that you'll succumb to the virus and end up eating your loved ones' brains. I opted for the latter; after all, once the zombie apocalypse has begun, everyone's fucked anyways. I might as well get to live a little longer, find out what zombiedom is like, taste some brains... Well, my friend was horrified. Shouting ensued, even (this conversation might have been on the far side of a lot of drinking). He concluded that I was a selfish bitch, whereas he probably should have concluded that I was trolling him and taking his question very srsly.

What if you had been bitten by a zombie and were starting to "turn"? What would you do?

I've just wasted a good 30 minutes looking at maps on the internet of where you would or would not want to be come the zombie apocalypse. Then I wander in here and we are talking about zombies... WTF

I was driving across Wyoming once and I thought that would be a good place to be when the zombies come for us - not many people, lots of guns, lots of cows, flat so you could see the zombies coming. I would not want to be in New York.

On the "I've been bit - what would I do" question - I'd want to be shot or quickly decapitated.

ok zombie sitiuation. This is a subject close to my heart.

First i have had a Zombie plan in place since i was 16 and spend a lot of time considering good bases, and what would make a good weopon. First if i got bitten i would want to wait till i tirned before my friends took me out (after all I might be the person who was immune and could be the cure).

If the zompokolypse did happen I really want it to occur while I amover in the states as there is a ready supply of firearms (private homes are a good source). should it happen In england I have concluded a large DIY store is the best place to hide up.

ok this could go on for hours, suffice to say if it does kick off I am good person to have on your side.
