Woohoo for brushes!

Last week I had a dream that they were trying to get some of us to move outside so kidsville could have our space near the stage and showers.

DanusLight, can we use any of those brushes Friday for Critical Tits? Black Rock City Body & Paint is in need of some new, or at least not trashed, brushes and those look like they would fit the bill to a tee. Any spares?

Yes please Mary.
Any kind of fabric paint pens you see on sale would be great too.

Hola big world! Party Announcement! Come on by the Dye with Dignity Monkey hut Wednesday night, bring some pj's to share. We make each other dress in each others's jammies, roast marshmellows, and get some fondue going. What's better than fondue ghost stories? And you never know, we could be raided by these pirates led by the notorious Captian MyDearFriend. Or maybe get caught up in a bollywood dance or two. Maybe do a little art hunting on the deep playa?

Bring a cot or bean bag chair, we have spare monkey hut room if the carousing gets out of hand, we turn it back into a slumber party! Pancakes for breakfast the next morning.

I'm in! And we are open to suggestions.

Oh, man, a pajama party 8) what an awesome idea.

I have picked out a nightgown to bring, white cotton, so maybe we can decorate it beforehand...

Sounds like fun - now I need to go find a onesie that will fit my 6'2" frame.

Most especially you can drop by. If you go to sleep first you might wake up in full drag though.

Ken made me buy 100 scarves and a bunch of dye today. I've been putting it off since all the uncertainty with my job etc. I feel a tad bit nervous as that's money we could have saved and used in case this all goes down the way it has been for the other 10 people let go this month. Anyway, Ken said that the only time I'm not shaking about the job is when I'm doing something for camp, playing with my granddaughter, or snuggling with him.

TMI probably lol, but I babble when I'm scared.

I think that shows great wisdom on Ken's part. And a deep love for you. Even if you lose the job (and from what you've been saying, something's going on, even if it's idiocy in the manner of necessary cutting), having good times is not an extravagance. It's a human right. You can tighten your belt without cutting your heart off from fun. Or something like that.

Went garage saleing today looking specifically for fondue stuff, came up with nada.

I did receive the box of scarves from Dharma today. Doesn't look like nearly enough. Oh well, it is what it is and that's all I can afford so...
If we run out you guys will just have to dye whatever you bring with you lol

Cotton bandannas aren't much, found some cheapy ones, i might get a few of those as back up depending on how the job situation resolves itself.

Washed and dried 100 scarves today, removed the little fiber content tags. Three handfuls of them!

Anyway, Kendoll wins the husband of the day (heck make it of the month) award as he ironed most of the scarves for me. So very sweet.

Have those packed away in a large ziplock bag and I'm going to have Ken hide them or I'll end up dyeing them all.

I was reading through my prep list, reading through the dye facebook group, reading through this thread and started crying. Good, happy tears!

Watching this little group come together, watching my little "what if" idea take root, has been so gratifying.

Thank you to all those who have jumped in and all who have contributed thoughts, love, time and talent.

I am blessed.

I am a collector of "things", and as luck would have it, I have at least 4 nice vintage fondue sets. Need me to bring any?
