Glad I watched it! I was a little stunned when he hit the 3rd one, even though it was obvious he might.

Elsewhere in the game, McCarver mentioned the idea, which I had never heard before, that a righthanded batter could more easily hit the ball to right or rightcenter, while a LH batter had much more difficulty going to left.. any of you baseball folks aware of this, or why?

Did he still manage to talk about Johnny Bench for five minutes?

There's nothing like dropping an infield pop-up, to focus a third baseman's mind

I didn't get home until late but when I did I turned on the TV at the top of the 10th. And what a roller coaster ride it was. WOW!

Being from Missouri I am a total Cardinals fan. And tonight just validated why. Although I was watching them pitch out to Pujols and caught myself wondering....what if? If they had given him a crack at it...on the biggest stage in Baseball....

I'll take what I got instead and Game 7 promises to be a good one. GO CARDINALS!

Actually, I hope so, with Terry Francona at the helm.

I sense a lot of running in someone's near future, or do pitchers still do that?

Pats and Giants. It's football but it's also Boston vs New York

Pats take it by 3

Called it at 21-17 Giants (of football), but I never put money on games. Good battle, but the Pats didn't have a season win against any team with a winning record.

Brady and Gronkowski were both playing hurt too. Brady threw a bunch of shitty passes and some of his receivers should have caught the better throws he made. Oh well. Rather have seen the 49ers there. Next year.

God, Tim Wakefield retired. Glad I saw him a few years ago pitch all 9 innings with his knuckle ball against Oakland. Great guy.

I look forward to taking in some Giant games and going over to OakTown when the Red Sox are in town. See....there are teams then there is religion, and the Red Sox are religion.

Gints are 7-7, Timmy gets the win & bumps his ERA down from 10.54 to 8.20, 341 pitches thrown by both sides combined, game time 3:12, going into the bottom of a twilight doubleheader at the Mets. Go MadBum.
