So. Who's at the hotel on Sunday the 28th? We could meet for drinks or something...
I'll be there. Still looking for other people to get stuff/head out there with.

I cannot promise I'll have room. In fact, I think I'll have to take out the passenger seat in order to fill my van. This annoys me so much, but I must have a clear path inside.

Blech.
Sorry.

I'm looking forward to encountering Burners at the hotel before the event -- I suspect the energy and excitement will yield mirth and merriment of all kinds.

One can never have enough mirth.

Just booked my room for Sunday night, they are still available! Thx Doc for sharing this great deal, it's saving me a lot of money. With tax it was only $30 total.

Jax Dee, I'm very glad you're happy. Ever seen the back of an RV?

Hey Doc Pyro, thanks again for arranging this. We LOVED the Sands last year in 2011. So comfortable and reasonably priced. I started talking to staff and following the Sands on twitter. They have good deals for Tahoe skiing: shuttle buses, rentals, discounts, pretty much everything. In case anyone is planning a ski trip to Reno-Tahoe, please consider The Sands Regency. Otherwise, we will see you all there pre- and post- Burn in 2012 this year. Hoping again for that BURN12 code too. Hugs all,
Betty

I come down there for a week, every month or so.

I've been staying at the Atlantis. Before that I was at the Grand Sierra until it dropped out of our corporate travel agent's system.

I'll check and see if they're in there!

I am negotiating the same kind of deal for 2012. I hope to have it ironed out and posted under the 2012 Share Resources thread before the end of this week. I think most everybody who took advantage of this deal last year were pleased. Also the Sands is a very convenient place to pick up passangers if you're providing ride share. Plenty of room in front of Mel's Diner in the parking lot. We do it every year.

Thanks for doing this last year. It made a world of difference to me and Jax.

Thanks for all your efforts, Doc.

And for those wondering, yes this is an officially sanctioned exception.

I used it too Doc, was really fun to meet and talk with the MV and Theme Camp builders we met there going in pre-event. The back parking lot looked like some bizarre traveling carnival was waiting to set up.

Lots of people were there as early as tuesday and wednesday pre-event.

That sounds likefun. I drive from WA state, and miss all that fun!!
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.
