Dancer's torso art piece

Dancer's torso art piece

Postby yojessimac » Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:00 pm

Does anybody know the story of the big metal torso art piece? It seemed to mimic last year's Bliss Dance. I am trying to figure out what the idea was behind it, if it was complete in the way it was constructed, or who the artist is. I heard a few different stories, but if anyone has information, please share!

There was supposed to be an uncompleted work by the same artist. Using the same model. So that could be it.

His name is Marco Cochrane.
The piece is called 'Truth & Beauty", it's the next in a projected series...
She'll be much larger, when finished, probably in 2013.

It was intriguing, that folks could climb on her, in her unfinished state... gave the work an entirely different feel...

Loved both she and 'Bliss Dance'...
