Ice Block size

Postby cinderblock » Tue Aug 16, 2011 3:35 pm

I'm a veteran burner looking to make a jockey box for this year to fit an entire ice block. I'm wondering if anyone knows how big (W x L x H) ice blocks are (nominally) so I can be sure they will fit. I assume they are a standard size but I haven't found any concrete numbers looking around online. Maybe if I just compare the mass of the block to the known density of ice!

Any information would be useful.

Take your tape measure to your local grocery store that sells block ice and measure a block...pretty much standard give or take...about 6x8x10
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

I was going to do that. I was hoping for some confirmation that there is a standard "ice block" size they all use.
