I'm always nervous to go in because I'm afraid I'll be overwhelmed and humbled by the artwork, and I don't know if I'm worthy to hang out with all the Old Timers who gather there.

Every year I contribute my own art (some of which i spend the entire year pouring my energy into, to be debuted on and sometimes exclusive to the playa, not to be seen anywhere else) ie: places like Center Camp Cafe and Entheon village.
In addition I usually stay about a week or more to volunteer for cleanup with DPW and Cafe clean-up crews (usually cleaning up the mess left by the same douche fucks that are selling overpriced tix... I never get paid for this but am happy to volunteer as I have met many cool people and enjoy putting energy into the playa since it brings me so much inspiration.
Unfortunately I am one of many people who are stuck at the last minute without a ticket with little options but to buy a ridiculously overpriced one which is not realistically and option for this Artist at present moment.
It is a shame that i have been defending the event for so many years anytime someone who has never been says " I heard burning man sold out" .. Sadly, i may finally have to surrender and agree with this statement for once.
I know your thinking why didnt I buy a ticket when they were available? and the answer , well, I never anticipated it would actually sell out- but this may be the year were the douche bag population finally outnumbers the amount of actual contributing artists such as myself. I hope this is not the case.
Anyhow I guess this is just a plea for anyone out there that may have a reasonably priced ticket that they would actually like to sell to a fellow long time burner and contributing artist.
thank you for reading this,
What about long time contributing BM artists w/out a ticket
Rabbette wrote:If you were planning on going all along - wouldn't getting a ticket be 1st on the list of GTD for BM?

What about first time burners, from over seas that have been following burningman for years and wanted to be able to travel all that way, to get involved. Well finally the gates have opened (well partially) Time off work has been granted, enough $$ has been saved, involvment in a really cool project is happening, But not if we dont get tickets. We'll be road tripping around your country with our heads down, thinking, if only we knew, Burningman could sell out. Hopefully we get a chance to organize it all again some year.

I will still see you on the Playa !
