ok, ok, wait.. how about bacon wrapped pickles? I'm thinking bread n butter pickles not my favorite but would totally work with the bacon.

zomg.. the salty sweet of the bacon mixed with the dill/vinegar goodness and crunch.. enveloped by crunch..

I think I may have just wet myself.

i'm so full of piss and vinegar if you stick a cucumber up my ass it comes out Kosher Sour Garlic Dill.

evidently my Ph is 3.6

seriously.

think about this though.....lets say next year, i dunno, california falls into the fucking ocean, finally, and all you brought out to the playa was bacon.....not gonna last too long is it.

well, if i bring out a wide selection of pickled items in jars and cans etc. i should be able to survive for quite a while provided i brought some Preserved Fruits (i'm not talking about Jellyfish's new project either) and dried grains and rice too.

all of which should store well and therefore, prevent me from getting even skinnier than i already am.

so, Are Pickles the New bacon?

possibly.

For 2012

I know that i'm bringing 5 cases of Ba-Tempte Sour Dills and a Gross of Matzas and a whole slew of various homemade marmalade and jams, and pears, peaches and so on.

lots of all beef jerky

50 gallons of ground coffee

50 cartons of marlboros

50 lb bag of rice, potatoes, beans, onions, flour sugar and veggy oil.

at least enough for 40 weeks in the desert......

oh yeah, a whole lotta blotta and my magic herbs.

So, completely OT, but I had a daydream of a strange scenario...

So, during Burning Man, World War III breaks out. With our weapons today, the war is over by the time that the Man burns. Society has completely obliterated itself, sans those who attended Burning Man and the few people living in the sticks. Burners take over the world, Larry Harvey becomes the president of the world (but is quickly impeached for reasons that are not disclosed) and the world is a happier place...

cocaine and whores...same old shit.

i believe the verb is (To Spitzer) i.e. Larry would have made a great president had he not spitzered it up.

noun....Man, that was a helluva spitzer he pulled...

adjective.....spitzeresque.

I just polished off a large jar of Bubbies pickles in a week. In SF. When the temperature hasn't been above about 72F.

I think I have a problem. Some sauerkraut will probably cure it.

Fart Bombz and whiskey

Postby Zhust » Tue Oct 05, 2010 3:17 pm

Did anyone get a chance to have Fart Bombz at Bad Idea Theater (3:00 plaza)? Pickled eggs with jalapeno! Mmm.

And then after the burn while cleaning up, I was introduced to pickle juice as a whiskey chaser. Pretty much like the traditional tequila chaser, only more ... well, well-whiskey-ish.

Yeah, not sure if the bacon cookies were really my thing. But, Bacon Bloody Mary's = awesomeness. Instead a celery stick in the drink, it's a nice, big, fat chunk of bacon. It gave it a very meaty flavor. The spicy bite of bacon bloodiness was a mouth-gasm.

Bacon Apple-tinis didn't float my boat, just too many conflicting tastes.
