Talk about too little too late, i mean really, at what point do people listen?
There were many of us who told everyone what's going to happen for years. Everyone argued and debated it here and elsewhere while it escalated... and NOW it's news!? I guess the new bman ethos follows that of the org, with about as much effectiveness and understanding - which isn't much, if any.
So now it's time to enter another endless circle of arguments and discussions where it's all resigned to finding rationalizations, that like everything else, leads to those things that make it digestible for you to put up with rather than actually being able to do something about it. And that's easy, because it's too difficult a problem to fix especially when compared to adjusting people's behavior so that they can still attend without the problem. Then those who voiced dissent that it was due to your bad behavior get prominence, and they become The New Voice of Reason leading to more compromises and loss of what has significant value. And that trend of The New Voice of Reason continues to be adopted and grow until there really isn't anything much of unique value left. Or not at least what people can't find elsewhere... so that unique identity of bman? Yep, it continues to fade into the public background.
And there you go thinking people can still create something special like bman even long after the originators left. You continue to build upon those creations because you can't do it from scratch, and it still does last a quite a while, so be grateful for it while it lasts and try to hold fast to that which is sacred.
Don't worry, people always forget the why's and history, they have short attention spans.
