Techno meets world beat - who was he?

Techno meets world beat - who was he?

Postby whimsy » Tue Aug 24, 2010 3:03 pm

Last year, I ran across an uber-awesome DJ playing world-beat influenced techno. Of course, I have no idea what his name was, only that he was booked on several different sound stages throughout the week.

Looking through Rockstarlibrarian's awesome and cool list, I wonder if I could ever find him again? Or other DJs whose music incorporates more African or Latin or Eastern sounds?

I would love to hear some recommendations -- see ya out there, dancing!

David Starfire does stuff like that and so does Outersect.

I'm sure there is more, those 2 are just ones I can think of off the top of my head that I saw playing. If you search the DJ names online you should be able to find samples of their music to listen to.
