How far are you from BlackRock City?

For Lakes Of Fire (our Great Lakes event) I'm making a little Playa Simulator with miniature playa surface (in an ice cube tray) to provide a pre-event boost or give context to the uninitiated. (I was tempted to make a Dust Storm Simulator with big slapstick "MAKEUPPPP!!!" puff...)

I'm still curious as to how you are going to set Lake Michigan on fire! :D

1995 miles to BRC.

And for all you making cracks about Lakes of Fire and setting Lake Michigan on fire...

You could see our burn from miles away. 80' tall flames as that lighthouse burned. Ya, baby. You know it. If you were on a boat you'd probably see it!

So sorry so many of you missed it!

i think thats common. sometimes i feel very lucky. very luck that I have come as far as I have, that I have made it somewhere. I may not be where I want to be but I am closer to it than I was 10, 5 or even 3 years ago.

Remember folks, I'm asking your travel distance TO BRC (not total trip)...

This year I have a super-short drive from San Fran. It should take less time to drive than I usually need to get to the US :)

Don't forget to take breaks, change drivers if you havem and don't forget to fill up with gas before the final leg of your trip...

110.94...to Gerlach...according to mapquest.
Figure another 8 to the playa entrance and another 2 or so across the playa to BRC
About a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive one way
