I recall this happening once before. My screen is not large enought to display the whole image or thread. I am sure they can fix the issue.

I do have a plonk person on that page so that could have been part of the reason because after I allowed t view all messages, it loaded correctly.

Hi mods;

Overnight I received several of these error messages. Not sure what's up. I clicked on a topic and it would send this "bad server response" message.

So who is "General Error" and why do we have a military takeover of the eplaya?

(Just kidding but still...it's an annoyance)

Just got this same error when tracking back to threads I have commented in. (How I often keep track).
A plan is what you vary from.

Sorry about that - it seems to happen ever now and then when the servers crash or are taken offline. I think I got all of the crashed tables.

Something odd is going on. Starting just in the last 3 hours, the main page will not correctly show which areas have unread posts. no matter what, it always shows the same areas as having new posts. Once inside the area, things are normal.
This is now on two different computers, so It's not a cookies/cache thing.

It's a multi-tasking thing...they can't sell tickets and run eplaya at the same time...both have to take the hit.

Would make sense if it was happening during the big ticket rush, not 8 hours later...

Well it seems the "ticket rush" lasted well into the night. My partner, who got online at 10:15a.m. didn't get his tickets until about 8pm. Friends who got online after coming home from work at 5pm, were in a 20,000 queue at 8pm.

On the other hand, I'm surprised you took my comment seriously. I meant it tongue-in-cheek.

It's still happening.

Yes, I got the tone of the joke. Just was clarifying in case you meant it. ;)

Still going strong. The only thing that forces the page to catch up is a hard reload of the page (F5).

The work computer with Explorer does it.
At home firefox is doing just fine.

View Active Topics

Post by Elderberry » Sat Jul 09, 2011 3:06 pm

So can anyone tell me the the link above the forum index "View Active Topics" is for? This search has ALWAYS come up empty no matter how active any forums seem to be. Maybe there is a setting for this too that admins can adjust? Like in the "control panel"?

Seems our admins need to add forums that get indexed for the feature.

That should be standard design, but not everyone follows it. So we're conditioned into closing the referred site and wind up closing the main site!

Even though there is an image URL button in the signature editing box, I have been unable to figure out how to use it and make it work. It seems signatures can no longer contain a link? Am I doing something wrong?
