Regarding the barn, I actually have a more portable Playa "structure":

About Kinetic Sculpture Racing, the Grand Championship is coming up in... yikes!, less than three weeks! Memorial Weekend, Arcata to Ferndale (Humboldt County, CA), 40th Anniversary race -- should be a humdinger.

Try
http://www.kineticgrandchampionship.com
This new site is still being built, but much of the info is there already.

And here is an old page I wrote:
http://www.kinetickingdom.com/whatisKSR.html

And there is one in my signature line.

Other brain storming... sure, but right now the rain seems to have paused, so I'm going out to work on the barn.

You know I am on there but got out of the rhthym of checking it because of how bad tribe became.

It seems like its been a bit better lately and am starting to check there more often.

Is that at the New Horse Cow? I have yet to check it out and will keep an eye open for the monthly social. I need to start going to those.

Thanks for the heads up.

No this one is at the Streets of London Pub in West Sac on June 7. I didn't know Horse Cow got a new place yet. Last I knew they had a few months to move out of the old place.

Tribe is down doing some beta testing it appears.

Do you know what time everybody will be hanging out til on June 7th. I'll be driving back from Salt Lake City but am looking to get back into town by 10pm. Would love to try and stop by and say hello to everyone.

I'm not really sure whats going with Horse Cow. You probably know better then I, I just rely on what people tell me because I have a hard time keeping up with everyone. Thats a bummer if they have to move.

Will you be there on Sunday?

Sunday seems like a less-than-ideal night to have a party. I mean, some of us get up at 4:45 a.m. to go to work. Damn stock market. Maybe I should move to Chicago.

Northern California Burners

Postby Colourfulkiz » Wed Mar 24, 2010 11:13 am

Hello! 8) This year will be my first Burning Man, I've been to the Transformus a few times, but I expect this to be amazingly different. I would like to meet some people to join camps with. Anyone interested in "meet n greetn" before the burn? I live in Eureka, but location isn't that big of a deal. We could have brews by a bonfire and talk of our plans.
Excited to be a virgin burner again, this time in BRC!

welcome to eplaya!

jump on in.
It sounds like you've got the basics, but, if you haven't , read and re-read the first timers and survival guides on the main page.

I'm in northern CA, near Grass Valley.

Yes, I've read lots and lots. I'm looking into goggles, and of course costume ideas. I'd like to make a "monkey hut" to go over our tent, and also for some shade space. The shower thing is what I'm worried about.

Welcome Home Beautiful!!!

Postby Millie » Sat Mar 27, 2010 11:17 am

Yeah for making the decision to come to Burning Man! I have made it to PDF on the east coast and hope to make it to Transformus in the near future.

Currently, I live in northern CA in Lake County so not 'too' far in country terms from you. I would love to get together any time with you to discuss what is going to be I am sure another EPIC year on the playa. I too don't mind driving to share light, love and Burning Man with other beautiful souls.

This will be my 6th year on the playa and once again.... I can't wait. My camp which is mostly from San Diego where I lived for 8 years is just kicking into full planning gear. I would love to discuss our camp with you any time.

Peace, Love, Light & Joy

Another burner in Clearlake! And I thought I lived in a complete backwater....

Welcome to EPlaya, Millie. I shall try not to get you confused with my camping bus, which is named Millicent.

Actually, there are more burners around here. We are everywhere!

It takes me 4-and-a-half hours to drive between Clearlake and Eureka. Just 200 miles, but slow roads.
