Lava Tube actually

Oohh, maybe we can light part of it with Lava Lamps.

"Lava Beds is located on the slopes of the massive Medicine Lake shield volcano, part of the Cascades volcanic belt that includes Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, and dozens of other volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest. Eruptions as recent as 1000 years ago spilled massive lava flows over this area. During the course of these eruptions, some of the lava flows cooled on the outside, but stayed molten in their middle. This molten lava then flowed away, leaving only the cooled outer edges, which remained as lava tube caves."

We have our own cave a 15/20 minute bike ride from here that is not inside of the National Park.

The way things are working out we will be having the party starting monday August 24th through Sun Aug 30.

There is a cave about a mile from here, nice bike ride, we will be decorating the cave and filling it with sound. (and mapping it, etc)

Last year a lot of people stopped here on their way to Black Rock City, this year will be even more fun.

You don't need no stinkin' tickets! A good hard hat is recommended and we will have some for people to use.

to repeat the plans,

for the week leading up to Burning Man, August 24th through Sun Aug 30, we will decorate and have music in a CAVE. The cave is on private property a little over a mile from here.

We are hoping people will ride their bikes to the cave. The bike ride would be on level ground.

Its gonna be fun.

(for the last 3 years, this will be number 4, we have hosted burners on their way to burning man. We are a rest stop on the adventure. We close the RV park to the general public and we give free camping, showers and water. We might need donations this year to help offset the expense of the showers. We do charge a fee for hooking up to our electricity. People can stay here as long as they want during that week. We do get a lot of EMT, etc types coming through earlier then the week before)(and then we go to black rock city for a week)(same offer on the way home, burners, just no cave rave)

I deleted a few posts here and in a couple of other threads because they were part of a feud beteween two other members that had gotten out of control and I had permission from both parties to do the deletions. I'm sorry if a post of yours got caught up in the shitstorm. It had nothing to do with my opinion of the event or of you personally.

Ok, it's that time again. But since the economy is so shitty we gotta scale things back a bit. Instead of multi stages, we will have a large boom box. But we still got the cave.

If anyone thinks it would be really fun to ride a bike to a cave and then visit a cave that is decorated really nicely, I know this has been on your mind for years. Well we got the place but we have way to many projects to take this one on.

Let me 'splain. We got Eagle's Nest RV Park, since 2006 we have hosted people going to Burning Man. we gave free camping, water, showers and toilet facilities until 2009 when we got a little financing and we were instructed to not give anything away. so we charge a small fee for the use of things that cost us money, like electricity, but I still won't charge for someone to sleep on my grass. (we got really nice grass). As my gift.

It has been a lot of fun and we have met some of the most fantastic people, as you might expect, and we just look forward to seeing them all again this year and next year and next year.. To make a very long boring story a bit shorter I will cut to the chase. Last year over 1000 people stopped here on their way to Burning Man. Yes, we are here mostly to help people get organized, rest a bit, get that last 1000 gallons of water that is pristine, but it would be fun and nice to have some things to help do while they are here. some people stay for a couple of days, so I thought it would be nice to have a tent in my field, maybe make more grass areas for people to camp, remote from my RV spaces. Also I love it when I see people ridding bicyles in our community, Tionesta, Ca. In an effort to encourage that I go back to the RAVE IN THE CAVE. Ok, truth in advertising, this is a CAVE. I don't know how much sound it can take before it might cause a CAVE IN. I was hoping Simon might stop by and give some advice. (buried in the middle).

Anyone want to help?
