The Fire Stage with the FIRE!!!!?!?!?!

The Fire Stage with the FIRE!!!!?!?!?!

Postby Antranik » Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:30 am

hey! what was the name of that theme camp last year.. in 08..... that was setup in the middle of the playa somewhere isolated from any other thing. It was setup in a circle.

There were basically just a TON OF POLES WITH FIRE SHOOTING UPWARD toward the sky.. they were powered by some sort of fuel.

And at random times and in no order they would BURST OUT, generating a ton of heat, fire, light and sound.

In the middle of this amazingness they had a stage in the middle where at night i saw they held competitions for fire poi and fire staff and other fire toys.

WHAT WAS THIS AMAZING STAGE and will it be there for 2009?

that was fucking RAD.

one of my favorite places to be at last year at night.

Some sort of radness will occur on the playa this year, you can be sure.
The REAL theme of Burningman is actually IMPERMANANCE. So don't expect the same rides and attractions as last year.

That's them for sure.

I will correct one thing, though...I've never seen them actually do competitions. It's more like an open mic night with fire.
I volunteered at Burning Man and all I got was this stupid superiority complex.

God, now I'm REALLY going to have to practice my contact staff so that I can spin there before it lights up.
