2008 Deep End Sets

Post by rebar » Sun Oct 26, 2008 5:16 pm

Thanks to the Deep End for releasing the 2008 mixes last night at Shine Last night. It was great to feel the vibe again from the Playa there with live sets from the usual suspects down in that jam.

So I was wondering, when do the 08 mixes go live on their site?

I thought I read somewhere on eplaya that 2008 was the last year for Deep End.

If i'm not mistaken that purdy little bus is their next camp. Furred up and lit so anyone on earth can see it. Pretty bad ass actually.

From what i heard they missed the mutant registration and it was not leagally able to taxi in 08 but should be ready to go in 09.

We both read that Deep End was not coming back, but then I heard a wisper. Kinda like Mutaytor will never play at BM again. Kinda hard to keep DJ's and the people that love 'em down...(fucking disco)

seek pics of woman dancing while upside down deep end SAT

Post by mamasaid » Sat Jan 10, 2009 7:21 pm

Your looking at the '08 deep end stage on Saturday afternoon, the playa is going crazy, the deep end is going off and there, on the elevated dance platform to the left of the DJ booth is a topless woman, hanging upside down, dancing and going nuts. A hot man is holding on to her legs, it's insane.

You take a picture. or you film a video. and I long to find it.

That crazed and mostly sober woman was me, and the music and playa spirit had completely consumed me and I was hanging there, dancing. I must have looked like an asylum escapee, but I'd sure love to have some pics of that if you have some.

Please let me know!

Thanks,

Madi

as far as i know, deep end will not be back.

maybe under a new name, and a smaller venue, but i am almost certain, the "Deep End" as we knew it is now relegated to the warm fuzzy spots in our happy memories.

I heard this as well - The Deep End is an icon. damn it

in talking to their members it was apparent that it is quite a load for them to handle logistics wise.

Would love to see them on playa again - they will be missed.

I think Klondike, you said that you haven't been yet to BRC. If that is so, you might wanna check out some of the videos that show what the deep end was all about. Myself, I stayed in the Shallow end just cause it was so fucking crazy. (I didn't say swallow end either)

You really don't sound excited enough. Get up and wave your arms in the air and start dancing like a fool. It's coming and we gonna have some fucking fun.

Can't wait to see all you, and thanks for coming

theres only one problem with that plan. Every day i become more amped up and excited. If i skip to the dancing right now, Im probably gonna end up in the crazy house months before the burn :P

232 days to plan, dance, finance, and plan once more (dont worry, dancing will be involved)

...
Yeppers

I will repeat, put your arms in the air, wave them fucking things, get up off your ass, and DANCE!!! Till ya drop, then do it again.

(the sand is going to be deep this year, need the muskles)

From experience, I would say you cannot get to excited. You cannot have to high an expectation for our little camping trip in the desert...
humm, remember to buy coolers that you can DANCE on!

I've just finished downloading ALL 41 hours, 57 minutes and 36 seconds of the 2008 Deep End sets.

Thanks again for all the hard work - for both the Deep End Camp and for making all this music available.
