that, may well be very subjective......
upon receiving into the world, a cherished child, one might think that was the greatest burn ever........
just saying, it's all POV.
I hope you love your child wherever she/he is born.
But...I wouldn't want my kid's first ever air breath to be full of playa dust--it's caustic nasty stuff. I don't think it would cause permanant health difficulties, but it's just plain rude.
You know, it's called "labor" for a reason, and while I hope that there was a nice air-conditioned RV and a midwife involved, and don't think that we should "medicalize" birth, I just think that on playa are crappy conditions for giving birth. Suppose you are cut--or worse yet the head tears--oh, I don't remember the name, but it makes the exit pathway a little bit bigger and gee that's tender and private flesh and who wants playa dust there either. And you're pretty much guarenteed that some hippie will find you and start giving tours of the miracle of life or some such nonsense. And that's a time when you need your sleep, you are not going to push out your off spring in 45 minutes one morning and be ready to dance all night at OT.
In short, dear Ygmir, those commercials lied. Two great things don't always go together.
hahaa, yes, Fishy, good points, all.
I'm just sayin, for some, it may well be a wonderful experience, awkward, dangerous, and all.
Just wanting to be inclusive, of all POV's in that arena.
Yours, I'm sure, is the most common and accepted.
Sometimes, I'm just plain contrary......dang me.
