If you want to collaborate in a group photography shoot,
> fill out THIS POLL <
... we'll send you more info in early/mid August.

Background:
The wdydwyd? project got started at Burning Man in 2004, and has grown quite a bit. Over 500 burners have been featured answering "Why do you do what you do?" on Polaroid 665 pos/neg film. Now we're expanding the project to many other photographers, different styles (including digital and video), and all around more collaborative.

It's a great way to meet new burners, participate in a big collaborative art project... even if you're not a photographer (you can partner with one).

Examples from last year (Polaroids):

You can also participate in the Call for Entries (due July 31) for an exhibition on the perimeter walls of Center Camp.
MORE INFO HERE about how to enter.

In collaboration with Brooklyn Art Project & Working With Artists.

I'm your typical wallflower shy girl but when art is involved I find some way to reach out! This is going to be awesome.

Count me in

Postby PlayaPunk » Fri Aug 15, 2008 2:34 pm

I just signed up as well. Great idea and a perfect way for photographers to interact without being seen as just a GWC (Guy/Girl with camera).
Thanks for a great 08 burn!

I don't think chicks can qualify as GWC's. I've never been treated as one. I'd love to meet the gal ballsy enough to gawk and drool openly.
