DISPLAY YOUR VIDEO CLIPS FOR ALL TO SEE! whaddya think?

Postby rjcalliger » Sun Jun 29, 2008 1:33 pm

I am putting together a large screen venu/format and digital projector
to display videos on the playa...I call it PlayaTube...I know...real
original..but would not it be cool to have whomever comes by to
see your video running up on a big screen?

I don't know what graphic guidelines Burning Man org has but I would
like it to be in good taste (I have a little, little as anyone) and campy
and thematic to fit the American Dream...kids in a special event,
moving/dramatic productions of less than 5 minutes....like uTube
on the playa...something you have built and want to show off...
whatever but let's see if it fits the Theme this year.

I am accepting all videos....just email to me and I will handle the
BM standards ....of course all the standard movie rating guidelines
could be a starting point as there wil be kids on the playa...

.....I can handle almost all digital formats
you are able to throw at me....keep 'em coming...

A warning. People still bitch about the PETA anti-meat/vivisection movie on the esplanade a few years back. So maybe you don't want to go toooooo memorable.

Yeah, your remark about Good Taste was a dead giveaway. :)

Is Good Taste still permitted on-playa? I forgot.

The "BM Standards" tend to be trashy and obscene. I think we can oblige...Might I suggest have a way to project live footage that was filmed on location on the playa...I'd provide content for that....people would love it...or even a video PhotoBoof....that thing is wildly popular...

wow...great idea...what do you think is good to have for the
transfer to the projector? memory sticks? camera sim chips?

it would not be called research, would it?

This sounds great, as an artist who does film work its rare when you get a chance to show your work at BRC. It's not like your a musician, painter or the like, it takes a lot more time to create a film. I've got shorts and features that are mostly comedies and fun stuff shot around Sacramento. Tell me if that sounds like something you'd be interested in seeing.
