Anyone know of a Dub Step Camp?

Postby trilobyte » Fri Jun 08, 2007 1:32 pm

Sensei, offhand I'd say keep your eyes on Root Society. They're likely bringing out big sound again this year, and they don't hang their hat on any one specific genre.

You should probably also keep your eyes on playa mainstays Opulent Temple and House Of Lotus. Both of 'em mix up the genres pretty well, you can expect some of the best of the best at OT, especially later in the week.

And of course during the day you've got to give it up for The Deep End. Best daytime bar ever.

Those are the ones I know of offhand - keep in mind it's the playa, and there are probably a hundred other spots out there :-)

The Energy Rider camp has a few Dub Step DJs in their arsenal. Stop on by for some wobble clack.

Hey DustDr,

I remember the dub rocket from last year. Shit is wicked. We talked a minute about reggae and dub. Anyway. I'm bringing my ride (now a boat, a chinese junk to be specific) back this year with a pretty decent system and I'm personally playing a whole heap of reggae. Roots for the day and dancehall and mashup at night. I play a fair bit of reggae breaks and dubstep, too. Anything but the oontzz-oontzz trance sound.

I got some fuel for you. Look me up in Sacred Sound and Vision camp. Ask around for the Madame Astrolabe or check for the Ring Craft Posse tent.

I'll gladly donate a jerry can to a fellow soldier...

Back at You Iron Horse!

We'll be looking for you at Sacred Sound and Vision camp or the Madame Astrolabe or the Ring Craft Posse tent.

Can always use a fuel boost!

It ain't no disco, it ain't no rave, it ain't no trance...

Camp Euphoria will be hosting a ton of dubstep! We're located at 3:00 and Esplanade.

I have a feeling there will be a giant bass invasion on the playa this year! =)

DUB STEP ART CAR

Postby miss ikka ills » Tue Aug 21, 2007 4:19 pm

I represent a virtually unknown clan from Salt Lake City and we plan on making a bit of splash this year with our car.

We will rock dubstep ondeplayapropa! Look for our car....giant indian elephant .... we are the 50HZ Healerz ....that should give anybody that knows about lows a tip, a clue, a key into our perception of reality.

We wish only to entertain the masses!

And if you want a youtube link to dubstep on the playa, check out this snippet from last year's Temple Of Breaks.

Freq dropped some incredible dubstep tracks as well as some brand new material from an album he'll be releasing later this year.

For those of you in the bay area, take note that the Get Freaky AfterBurn at 1015 Folsom the Friday after Burning Man will have Luke Envoy and a few other dubby heroes in the mix.

Dubstep Thursday Night

Postby rollermonkey » Mon Jul 28, 2008 7:30 am

Wobble Heads...Bat Country will be hosting a Dubstep party at Checkpoint Dreamyourtopia thursday night. It will be the large structure that looks like a prison with a giant pink skull as the entrance. Find the skull...find the bass
I'm pretty sure (Camp) Moonbass will be playing dub step. They are from Seattle and never let anyone down with their tunes. Awesome breaks, dub step, dnb. I don't know if they will be doing their own camp or just joining with someone else.
\

I think MoonBass was on 2:00 and about D last year. Right? Amazing camp. 50Hz Healerz had a small party there last year. They rep the dubstep. hope they do it again.
