Congradulations!

Eplaya seems to be on track.

a long way from where it has come.

I have no idea what the ETF/webteam is doing or who is involved with this but my hat is off the top you.

If Spanky is there or RA and they are involved, Hey hey hey.

If it is you folks.................................Bay Bridge Sue, Dork, Toolmaker......whomever I left out........hey i could be wrong but that's not the point.

My hat is off to you guys that are doing an excellent job at making eplaya work.

it's been killer this year, no thanks to me, but THANKS.

You guys have been making it work that's all that matters.

The board, (knock on wood several times.) has been free of spam and has been running smoothly.

I want to thank you all personally. (Or virtually.)

That was a lot of work.

Cheers!

That’s all I wanted to say.

T-

And Peace!

Thanks a lot. There's always more to do, but things have cleared up a lot.

Spanky has helped fix the server a couple of times, and helped me get set up. Cat and Sharon have helped me out with access and information. Otherwise, the web team hasn't had much direct involvement here.

I've been doing the fun stuff (mucking around in the code)
Emily does the boring stuff (compiling lists of IPs, users, and email domains to ban)
Spectabillis does the frustrating stuff (pushing through layers of BMORG beaurocracy to get us access)
Anti M and Bay Bridge Sue do the hard stuff (communicating with naughty users, spam patrol)
Scotto and probably others I'm forgetting have been chipping in as well with spam stomping and policy discussions.

Go volunteers! Yay!

in all honesty dork is being really modest, he has been the most important factor in hitting the spamming problem, fielding user questions, upgrading or fixing things.. and being an all around awsome guy.

BTW, when I say the ORG hasn't been doing much I'm referring to day to day activities like moderating, deleting spam, making code changes, etc. They do, of course, maintain and pay for the severs. There's probably more going on behind the scenes that I don't know about, because everything "just works"

Here, Here!

Postby Cassidy » Wed Jul 04, 2007 2:03 pm

I often wondered who was the brains/brawn behind this operation. I've seen many of y'all's posts and have been impressed by the effectiveness of them (good points, soothing feathers, spanking, etc...) Now there's an avenue for it, I wanted to post here and say Thank You too!!

This is my first year and I'm very impressed with how much info/advice/friendly comments I've been able to find on here (in addition to the main BM site). I know the techie/CS stuff is one of the hardest parts of such a huge event so hang in there. I'm sure I speak for many when I say I appreciate it :!:

I am very excited to go and hope to be able to find some of you there and tell you thanks in person!
