pause and reflection on the mechanism of a nuclear device, redefined into the context of social conciousness:

two masses of fuel/explosive are remaining apart, each just under the size required to instigate the supercritical state...

when the two masses meet, the supercritical state is instantly surpassed and the result is a massive release of energy in various forms...

proper preparation of each facilitates the experiment going off without a hitch...

while disengenius applications of this scenario can result in a variety of levels of success or blunder, I believe I have helped facilitate a possible interaction that may prove the antithesis of the latter

"To begin with," said the Cat, "a dog's not mad. You grant that?"

"I suppose so," said Alice.

"Well, then," the Cat went on, "you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad."

"I call it purring, not growling," said Alice.

"Call it what you like," said the Cat

is a young Greenskin Warrior, from the Grassy Plains. His parents were killed by a buffalo soon after he was born, so his entire village raised him. By all accounts, he is skilled at archery and self-sufficient. Atreyu's name means "son of all" in his language. In the novel, Atreyu was summoned by the Childlike Empress to embark on a quest to save the land of Fantastica. During Atreyu's quest, his horse, Artax, falls victim to the Swamps of Sadness while Atreyu is protected by the AURYN gem. Bastian follows Atreyu's character in the "real world" while he reads "The Neverending Story".

While the game described (a list of moves is included) cannot be carried out legally due to a move where white doesn't move out of check - this is much as might happen, if a young child were playing. Also the sequence of moves (white and red) is not always followed, which goes along with the book's mirror image reversal theme

She is then rescued from the Red Knight by the White Knight.

At this point, she reaches the eight rank and becomes a queen, and by capturing the Red Queen, puts the Red King (who has remained stationary throughout the book) into checkmate.

A tool or device is a piece of equipment that (most commonly) provides a mechanical advantage in accomplishing a physical task. The most basic tools are simple machines.

Philosophers once thought that only humans used tools, and often defined humans as tool-using animals. But observation has confirmed that monkeys, apes and other animals, mostly primates, but also some birds (ravens, for instance), and sea otters can use tools as well. Later, philosophers thought that only humans had the ability to make tools, until zoologists observed birds and monkeys making tools.

Non-physical entities such as process (improvement or reengineering), information architecture, creativity and learning itself are all invaluable tools that we humans use to better ourselves individually and collectively (or collaboratively). Certainly, the term "tool" should not be limited strictly to physical objects, but also cognitive methodologies.

Most anthropologists believe that the use of tools was an important step in the evolution of mankind. Humans evolved an opposable thumb (useful to hold the tools) and an increase in intelligence (aiding in the use of tools).

Tools can also be purely cognitive, such as a written language.

Often by design or coincidence a tool may share attributes with one or more other tools in terms of their basic functionality. In this case, some tools can substitute for other tools, either as a make-shift solution or as a matter of practical efficiency.

In many cases, the designed secondary functions of tools are not widely known. For example, many wood-cutting hand saws integrate a carpenter's square by incorporating a specially shaped handle.

Mechanical devices, though known to Alexandrian Greeks, experienced a major expansion in their use in the Middle Ages with the systematic employment of new energy sources.

mechanical advantage (MA) is the factor by which a mechanism multiplies the force put into it.

There are two types of mechanical advantage:

---Ideal mechanical advantage (IMA)
---Actual mechanical advantage (AMA)

The ideal mechanical advantage is the mechanical advantage of an ideal machine. It is usually calculated using physics principles because we have no ideal machine. It is 'theoretical.'

The actual mechanical advantage is the mechanical advantage of a real machine. Actual mechanical advantage takes into consideration real world factors such as energy lost in friction.

Avoiding direct power
The Bene Gesserit have chosen to use indirect methodologies to further their goals, rather than wield overt power themselves. They have noted the Taoist principle that whatever rises must fall; and so rather than taking direct control of the human race, instead manipulate the social and political order with subtlety and insinuation, often using extraordinarily long-term stratagems spanning generations. They avoid becoming or seeming too rich or too powerful or indeed revealing the extent of their powers, so as to avoid being seen as overtly responsible for the rise and fall of governments and empires.

Image

Thanks to intensive training, all Bene Gesserit possess skills and abilities that appear to those outside the order as magical powers. These include both mental and physical powers. All Reverend Mothers are storehouses of information through Other Memory; they are trained to notice tiny details; and they have fine control over each muscle in their bodies.

The Voice

Bene Gesserit are trained in the use of their Voice (it is always emphasized as "the Voice" in the novels) to compel obedience in listeners on a subconscious level. By controlling the subtleties of her voice, a Bene Gesserit can speak to a person's unconscious mind, commanding it in a way that the conscious mind is aware, but cannot resist.

Chaos (derived from the Greek Χάος, Chaos) typically refers to unpredictability.

Image

The word χάος did not mean "disorder" in classical-period ancient Greece. It meant "the primal emptiness, space". It is derived from the Proto-Indo-European root ghn or ghen meaning "gape, be wide open": compare "chasm" (from Greek χάσμα), and Anglo-Saxon gānian ("yawn"), geanian, ginian ("gape wide"); see also Old Norse Ginnungagap. Due to people misunderstanding early Christian uses of the word, the meaning of the word changed to "disorder". (The Ancient Greek for "disorder" is ταραχή.).

Image

Vaishnavism however believes that God can transcend all personal characteristics yet can also have personal characteristics for the grace of the human devotee. Personal characteristics are considered an aid for the devotee to focus on God. It also believes that it is not necessarily wrong to view a form of God as long as it is recognized that God is not limited to a particular form.

'yad vishito bhavati tad vishnurbhavati; that which is free from fetters and bondages is Vishnu.'

Suggestions involving other roots include vi-ṣṇu "crossing the back", vi-ṣ-ṇu "facing towards all sides" and viṣ-ṇu "active", as well as attempts to explain Vishnu as an amalgate of two unrelated words

Shaktism as we know it today developed between the 4th and the 7th centuries CE in India. It was during this development that the many religious texts, known as the Tantras, were written. In a certain sense, one could consider oneself a Shakta (a devotee of Shakti), a Shaiva (a devotee of Shiva), and a Vaishnava (a devotee of Vishnu) all at the same time.

Catharsis, Latin from the Greek Κάθαρσις Katharsis meaning "purification" or "cleansing" (also literally from the ancient Greek gerund καθαίρειν transliterated as kathairein "to purify, purge," and adjective katharos "pure or clean" ancient and modern Greek: καθαρός), is a sudden emotional breakdown or climax that constitutes overwhelming feelings of great pity, sorrow, laughter or any extreme change in emotion that results in the renewal, restoration and revitalization for living.

Catharsis is a form of emotional cleansing first defined by the Greek philosopher Aristotle. It refers to the sensation, or literary effect, that would ideally overcome an audience upon finishing watching a tragedy. The fact that there existed those who could suffer a worse fate than them was to them a relief, and at the end of the play, they felt ekstasis (Greek: ἔκστασις) (literally: astonishment, meaning: trance), from which the modern words extasis and ecstasy are derived.

the audience is not intentionally led to feel happy in light of others' misfortunes; in an invariant sense, their spirits are refreshed through having greater appreciation for life.

The term catharsis has also been adopted by modern psychotherapy to describe the act of expressing deep emotions often associated with events in the individual's past which have never before been adequately expressed. Catharsis is also an emotional release associated with talking about the underlying causes of a problem

Flagellants are practitioners of an extreme form of mortification of their own flesh by whipping it with various instruments

(vamu partygoers may remember the Tibetan-esque bell poi i demonstrated with)

Various pre-Christian religions, like the cult of Isis in Egypt and the Dionysian cult of Greece, practiced their own forms of flagellation.

Isis is a goddess, literally means (female) of throne, i.e. Queen of the throne, was worshipped as the archetypical wife and mother. The hieroglyph for her name originally meant (female) of flesh.

Dionysus was also known as the Liberator (Eleutherios), freeing one from one's normal self, by madness, ecstasy, or wine.

The divine mission of Dionysus
[the gods Dionysus and Eros were both occasionally referred to as Eleutherios ("the liberator").
]
was to mingle the music and to bring an end to care and worry.

... we are dealing not with the historical memory of a cult that is foreign, but with a god in whom foreignness is inherent. ... but his characteristic presence is recognizable. Clearly, Dionysus had been with the Greeks and their predecessors a long time, and yet always retained the feel of something alien.

Dionysus is strongly associated with the satyrs, centaurs and sileni.

... is often shown riding a leopard, wearing a leopard skin, or being pulled by a chariot drawn by panthers. and has been called the god of cats and savagery.

Dionysus sometimes has the epithet Bromios, meaning "the thunderer" or "he of the loud shout". Another epithet is Dendrites; as Dionysus Dendrites ("he of the trees"), he is a powerful fertility god. Evius is another of his epithets, used prominently in The Bacchae.

When Dionysus grew up he discovered the culture of the vine (mushroom cultivation ---> greater enlightenment) and the mode of extracting its precious juice; but Hera struck him with madness, and drove him forth a wanderer through various parts of the earth.

Mars was the Roman god of war, the son of Juno and either Jupiter or a magical flower. As the word Mars has no Indo-European derivation, it is most likely the Latinized form of the agricultural Etruscan god Maris. Initially the Roman god of fertility and vegetation...

step upon step, mile upon mile, the steady heart beats a course of a dynamism; it's sanctity unmarred by the disingenious understanding, blindsided by the four letter word "life"

in this musing you may incorporate "life" as fully represented in my use of the word dynamism.

Dynamism, and thus dynamic organism, sits at the source of pertinint cognition. while instances of unprovoked & spontaneous cognition seem the exception, we may do well to bring the considerableintelligence available to us to bear on dynamic harmony and dissonance.

the canvas laid before us carries a context greater than the sociology of the imaginations which bring it forth

the colors fill our pallet with passion, joys, possibility and daunt, to name a few...

how well have you cared for your brush?

does it lose definition, congealed from being set before the sun without having been cleansed of often used color?

and what of it's natural shape?

are there frayed and sprawling tentacles, or the focus and intention to equip precision workmanship?
