2006 theme?

Re: Hope & Fear: THE FUTURE

Lessee... Hope and Fear... with the Stalinist theme at the man... this is *too* easy... (Well, for some of us, anyway >>grins<<)

Apokolipse. (yes, the spelling was deliberate!), if not, then Anguish.
Beacon
Cringe
DOOM
Enivetable
Forgiveness
Grim
Humiliation,
Interrogate

And the ring road around Center Kamp...

Little Prospekt.

Have an Apokilpitik Holi-doom and a Final New Year...

This actually sounds like a possible truth...would be a great theme.

Possible street names
Angst/Anziety/Anticipation
Bated Breath
????
Dread
Expectations
Fear/Forward Looking
G???
Hope

Ah, insomnia, my ownly friend.

C = Calamity?
I will not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone . . . there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

It's got me thinkin' about a very depressing theme camp. Camp Nightmare, something like that.

All your fearful imaginings about the future, flushed into the open air and paraded about so they can't hide, then burned.

BM 2006 theme - what gives??

Postby kidblonde » Tue Jan 17, 2006 12:21 am

Got my registration form for BM 2006..
Well.. don't know where "THIS" theme came from but I feel
it falls out of a similar pattern of past themes where it was more
spiritual/psychological based.
Now we are with the theme of the future facing hopes and
fears.
Last year's Psyche was just perfectly suited, but can't really feel
any immediate direction for this year's theme... not too inspiring
for me.

The 2006 drawings of the MAN remind me of "Metropolis" (the film)
and the regis. form looks very 1940's propaganda to me.

This year's theme to me came way out of left field.. but maybe
that's the point! :0

Thanks

Last year they had a name the streets contest ~ mid to late spring and the map came out in the summer.

Thanks for the input.

Hey Fire Elf: I am not a cat. However, I do posses some cat-like qualities.

See you on the Playa!
