Greetings Dirt Mother!
If you are seriously contemplating bringing your children to the playa next year, I suggest you check out Kidsville. Our website is: http://blackrockkids.org/
and our yahoogroup is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KidsCamp/
We have over 100 families in our village each year, and it is truly THE best place to camp if you are bringing children.
Gack!!! Beat me to the punch Mayor
RDM, listen to her, she know's what she is talking about as she has a Phd in Kidsville, I'm only working on my sophmore year, but it is the bomb for the kids. Trampolines, Sock Monkey making workshops, movies at dusk, a burn barrel for smore's
Last year we got to go on an art car for a tour of art installations on the playa. Everybody was way cool and made us feel real welcome on our first trip to the playa.
Your wise to learn as much as you can in advance. But I warn you, nothing can actually prepare you for the myriiad of eye-popping moments when you get there. It will def. be worth the wait.
Oh, and welcome to Eplaya
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.
