Barn Raising

No matter your skills or interests, there's a way for you to participate in the creation and manifestation of Black Rock City, both at the event and year-round.

Barn Raising

I have ideas but no means. Everybody know about old-fashioned Barn raising? If not, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barn_raising

So ANYWAY, what a great American tradition to bring to next year's theme! Would somebody please take my idea and run with it? The Barn Raising could be highly inclusive - many people on the playa working together to put it up. It could be an artpiece that would host great events and concerts (akin to the "Waffle" of last year). Most importantly, what a great thing to burn at the end of it all!

So does anyone know the first thing about barn raising?

Everything I know about barn raising I learned from the Little House on the Prairie books.

You don't burn perfectly good barns?

(humor, humor)

Moderator note: I have merged the two existing Barn Raising topics. Per the Community Guidelines, cross-posting is unwelcome.
