The bugs *always* get into your head... Something to do with Mobile Infantry...

Cut to newsreel announcer: Young people from all over the Playa are joining up to fight against the future.
Soldier #1: I'm doing my part.
Soldier #2: I'm doing my part.
Soldier #3: I'm doing my part.
Young kid dressed up as a soldier: I'm doing my part too.
[Soldiers laugh, then shoot him.]
Newsreel announcer: They're doing their part. Are you? Join the Mobile Infantry and save the world. Service guarantees Apokiliptika Interrogation.

The historians can't seem to settle whether to call this one "The Third Playa War" (or the fourth), or whether "The First Camp War" fits it better. We just call it "The Bug War." Everything up to then and still later were "incidents," "patrols" or "police actions." However, you are just as dead if you buy the farm in an "incident" as you are if you buy it in a declared war. . .

One of the best moments I had at this year's event was when I had the chance to sit down around the hookah with the Kernal and Iconoclast. Watching Iconoclast prepare that beautiful hookah reminded me of a formal Japanese tea ceremony. Absolutely magical!

If you two will PM me your snail mail addresses, I'll send you both a Palestinian kefiyah (arab headdress).

A big thanks to both Iconoclast and the Kernal for that wonderfully peaceful time.

Letting various creatures cohabitate. Once they got over the "me=hungry, you=food" syndrome, it went unpredictibly well... or well on it's way to unpredictable...

The requested corrections have been made to insure classified information remains as such. Perhaps we should submit to mutual interrogation for our sins?? After all, the name of said project is also classified... >>very wicked grins<<

Ah, hell- now we gotta make a privacy curtain for the "Doom Dome?" I just don't know WHERE I'm going to find the time.

Hmmm... Iron, eh? Perhaps so!

The dome will be a work of diabolical art at any rate- a sort of theater of dread- a stage of apprehension- an amphitheater of confusion-

is it real, or is it all theater?

When I was child, heard of Iron Curtain, had dreams about curtain. Then found out Curtain was not iron, but steel. And concrete. WIth nice wire on top. Felt like home. Could even trust neighbor to do right thing, if not, you made call, they go away.

Now curtain gone. Can't sell Trabant. Cannot find Spreewaldhof Gerkins. Bread soft and weak as western imperialist. Even good Stoly vodka tastes like water. And added yankee imperialist colors blue and white to good red flag.

Franchise?

Postby dragonfly Jafe » Tue Oct 11, 2005 7:04 am

So how does this whole End-of-the-World Franchise thing work? Sure, it will all be better next year, but what are some details? There is less than a year until it all ends again! Is the entire Ministery of Propaganda still on Holiday (or did they all get planted)?

I mean, does one get to select their choice of death, destruction, pain, misery, or suffering (with a free disease thrown in for earlier subscribers)? Or do they get, say, New York City or Australia to do away with in any fashion they see fit? Or perhaps one would control a "means to the end" (like Nuclear Missile camp, or Pandemic Flu camp)?

Can I be one of the Four Whore's Men Of The Apocalypse?

And how about a week-long game of "who's got the button"? (A briefcase that gets handcuffed to you for a predetermined time period, carrying "the codes" and a device requiring two keys to be turned simultaneously.)
